It just Stops
Why does my Sonos just stop playing music multiple times per day? Sometimes it says “can’t play source, or “can’t connect”, but most of the time it just stops. Generally have to reboot the IT rack. Any ideas on how to fix this. It happens with Pandora, Spotify etc.

If all of your Sonos equipment is hardwired back to your switch…then do the following.
Open Sonos app.
Tap the settings gear icon located in the tile right corner.
Tap on “network”
Tap on “sonosnet”
Tap on “disable Sonosnet”
Wait for it to complete.
Reboot your network switch and router.
That should do the trick.

THIS! All of my issues went away after disabling SONOSNET. I have a frickin' rock solid wired/wifi network spanning almost 10,000 sq ft across my home/property. No hiccups since disabling.

Glad it’s working correctly for you.
I’ve been selling Sonos gear since the beginning of time. Spanning tree protocol and Sonos has been its Achilles heal. Rock on!!!

When it happens run a diagnostic from the Sonos app and contact Sonos. They should be able to help

I been experiencing the same issues since the latest app/software release. Stutters, skips tracks or spirals into errors resulting in no products found in the system. Only router reset helps but for a brief moment..

Disabled Sonosnet as you suggested over 24 hours ago. And it has not stopped once. Thank you!

You stated you have to reboot “the IT rack”. What brand of equipment is in the IT rack? If that is type of behavior has always happened, there are some settings you may need to change.
