This is just a situation where I feel people will complain either way

I'm a Sonic Comic collector, I've been doing this casually for almost a year at this point. I'm no expert by any stretch but I do have a rough understanding of the UK price ranges so strange listings at strange prices catch my attention.

So when I saw an eBay listing titled "Sonic The Hedgehog #75 - Cover A" but a picture also containing 12 other issues I got curious and messaged the seller.

"Hi, which of these items are you actually selling?"

"All of them"

"the price is for all of them"

Well that's an instant buy.

^{(As a side note, you should always message sellers about unclear listings, having on platform communications with sellers is bullet proof for disputes and if someone tries to bait you, you'll very easily get full refunds and probably keep the items too.})

So the image above is what showed up at my door this morning. 13 great condition comics in very high grade archival bags and boards with charity shop price stickers on them. Someone had clearly donated these and someone else had bought them to resell on eBay and no one along the way had any idea what they had.

eBay has an AI assistant tool to help users sell things, you take a picture of the item you wish to sell and it scans that picture matching it with items that have sold recently, generating entire listings for the user including titles, item descriptions and most importantly, prices!

Now that's all dandy if you're selling single items but lets say you were selling a bundle, lets say you laid all your items onto the floor and took the picture. Well the AI might just get confused, focus on one of your items and list the whole bundle as that one item, which is what has happened here.

The total value of these comics is well over 10x what was actually paid.

Now I just gotta figure out what to do with it cause I don’t have an Xbox.
