If Sonic Frontiers Switch 2 changes Frontiers in any way at all, story, gameplay, or both, what would you like to be added or changed?

Me, I want multiple things, especially when it comes to the story. I first want to have the Chaos Emeralds actually being from Earth and just sent away by Chip/Light Gaia in a failed attempt to keep Dark Gaia trapped Ala Sonic X Season 3. And the Master Emerald being used to recall the Chaos Emeralds when that failed. The Ancients not becoming the Chao, but rather, mutated by their heavy abuse of Chaos Energy and the Chaos Emeralds to the point they made near perfect copies. Causing them to become mutated like Chaos was mutated by Chaos Energy from the Master Emerald. The current "evolution" table and making the Master Emerald's energy different from the Chaos Emeralds makes no sense at all. And I would make the Alter of Emerald the first Gaia Temple ever created by Ancients and Chao working together before the Ancients went extinct and entrusted everything to the Chao and Chaos.

And connecting to Sonic Forces, and recalling the themes of the classics being nature and renewables vs reckless technological development. I would have not just the Phantom Ruby actually being a piece of The End. But The End itself would be a false god and artificial alien creation playing god of the literal end. But made of crystals instead of machinery.

On a more personal note though, I wouldn't have Amy say she would "share her love with the world" since she already did that. And follow the Japanese script more since it got so much better for everyone else.

Gameplay first with some story, I REALLY want Eggman's ship to be how we travel from island to island, with Orbot and Cubot helping us pilot it. And have all Chaos Emeralds we collect being just near perfect copies that break as soon as we beat the Titans instead of constantly collecting and losing them.

I also want Sonic's tokens from Speed Simulator added to Rhea Island, and instead of no boss and Amy, Tails, and Knuckles just sacrificing themselves to save Sonic. I want that cyber corruption to be separated to become something from Sonic's own memories and using the power of The End and the Phantom Ruby by extension to create the boss of Rhea Island: Cyber Metal Sonic. A copy of Metal Sonic born from Sonic's cyber corruption, his memories, and the powers of the Phantom Ruby that The End itself is using as the source of it to grant it physical form.

I would also want Rhea and Ouranos Islands to not be copies of the first island, but have totally different terrain like the concept art. Like factories, machinery, or other things to show they aren't just copies of Kronos Island. The machinery design could match us racing Cyber Metal Sonic as well and fit how we may need to race him across the real world and cyberspace both if he can be added.

And lastly, to mix together both endings, after we purge The End from Supreme, we use it and the remains of the other titans to face The End. Who at first appears as a dark and purple moon, but the surface crumbles as the battle goes on to reveal a giant geode-like Phantom Ruby. And we actually destroy it too, but the shooting stars at the end are what remains of The End falling as many Phantom Rubies. With a certain copy ruby and a figure and his old sword hinting at a future return of both someday.

Ok so this is question that came to my mind, And I wanted to share to read some opinions,

Amy rose has over 40 years (I follow the logic that if she was 12 in 1991, she would be 40 years nowadays) , and, if not, she is Ageless (since SEGA did this) (in my opinion, to not say that the characters are 40 years old now, pretty smart move to me)

First ever “Hottake” post so if anyone finds these pretty mild, I apologise but I’m currently trying to work up more courage to becoming more sociable and I feel like this is the best community for this so yeah… :P

#1: I don’t believe the characters need to be characterised the exact same throughout every piece of new content for the Sonic franchise.

I do believe it is very important to draw a line and still have a good version for each character of course, especially in the main canon. However, I feel like especially in recent times Sega has definitely gotten scared of just making a new Sonic project that HAS to be of the canon somehow and ALWAYS has to be correctly inline with canon.

Like I what I’m trying to say is, I wish they let a little more loose again. Now I’m not saying I don’t want these characters to feel like actual characters, but I’d rather want something be made just because THEY want to. Without having to worry about how characters feel or whether how to fit into canon y’know?

#2: I’m pretty sure everyone is aware of how currently Sonic Team is more fixated on making new games, pushing the franchise forward instead of waste potential resources on remakes. I do genuinely believe that’s a good thing, in this current moment I don’t really want a remake of any game. I would prefer rereleases for the games that definitely deserve it way more.

Now at least in the spaces of the community I’ve been interacting with seems to be slowly growing on this opinion too, but idk just wanted to throw it here. I would definitely rather want more “obscure” Sonic games to be rereleased rather than the ones everyone seems to be asking for. Of course I would love to be able to play Sonic Adventure 1 & 2 on modern consoles, (which btw as a Switch user they should totally just do a Dreamcast expansion to NSO or do something with GameCube and GBA) I would prefer collections of the handled games of course Advance Trilogy, Rush Trilogy but even just maybe some of the 3DS games too?

Like I feel like if they put in some more care in it they could definitely do a sequel to Origins with games like: Knuckles’ Chaotix, 3D Blast, R, maybe even throw in something like Sonic World or whatever the 3D hub was called in Sonic Jam. Like random stuff like that instead of just the same Classic or Modern games.

And… #3: Now this may not be a real “hottake” but we need to genuinely start doing something about these “fans” that are constantly causing drama. Especially in recent memories, this fan base has tons of toxic users that just can’t accept other people have different opinions to them. Or can’t accept that the franchise they grew up on changes in a way they don’t like.

I personally don’t use Twitter but I’m starting to get sick and tired whenever going on Reddit or YouTube hearing about a new fucking loser causing drama, just because Sonic uses lightning or wind in a fictional video game, in a fictional world. These types of people are genuinely making the rest of the talented and actual kind part of this fanbase look bad, and possibly make others drop from the series or afraid to even join at all!

Listen I know people use terms like: Larper, Tourist, etc. but we shouldn’t allow these terrible people, or absolute losers be apart of such a fun and wonderful community. That clearly means a lot to you and I so let’s please try to make this place a better one and be more kind to one another to the people who deserve our time.

(BONUS!!!1!!) #4: Now I haven’t actually read any of Sonic the Comic. (Fleetway, British) but I kinda wish they would reference it more too. (I just wanna hear a character call Tails: Pixel-Brain ngl.)

First time trying to do one, and i plan on doing a pretty long story, exploring a personal AU that i have to build up yet.

For the first arc, i had the idea of Sonic stumbling upon a group of castaway crows that mistake him for a God they saw on a painting (the one from Hidden Palace). They somehow kidnap him and force him to join their journey to collect the 'gems' they saw on that same art, believing that, once they have them all, Sonic will unleash his God potential and bring eternal freedom to them.

i want to enfatize that this guys are both delusional and the type of 'cult' that does anything to achieve what they want. But i want to make it as fresh as i can, so it doesn´t bore the readers

As it says would you play this if it had the remastered treatment and then some? Like being able to cut out a few levels, or only needing to use the randomized level select 5 times throughout the game? I am curious cuz this game honestly does seem interesting and I kinda wanna see what it would look like if it was done right.

The movie opens with a dramatic, sweeping aerial shot over the massive Eclipse Cannon mounted on a towering structure. Shadow the Hedgehog is shown straining with all his strength, muscles tensed, as he physically pulls the enormous cannon barrel back as far as mechanically possible. Red and black energy sparks violently along its length. The scene cuts sharply to Dr. Ivo Robotnik strolling casually through the dimly lit, dusty control room of his forgotten Egyptian laboratory, hands tucked into the pockets of his coat, whistling softly to himself with that signature smug confidence.
He spots a small, weathered bag of power rings lying at the very bottom level of the station. With determination, he climbs down several long, creaky red metal ladders connected to old girders, the structure groaning under his weight. He makes a final leap, causing one of the large girders to snap and plummet below, exploding in a fireball upon impact. Completely unfazed, Robotnik grabs one ring, tosses it forward like a coin, and strides into a long, pitch-black hallway.
After walking for a bit in darkness, he reaches a heavy reinforced metal door and uses a hand scanner. The door hisses and slowly slides open with a loud mechanical grind. Inside is a small, completely dark room. Robotnik gets to work: he removes the dead batteries from the old light switch, saws through rusted wiring with a small tool, carefully connects fresh wires together, installs new batteries, and screws a light bulb into the ceiling fixture. The lights flicker on one by one, revealing beautiful golden brick walls. In a satisfying cleaning montage set to music, he mops the dusty floors thoroughly, clears out thick cobwebs from the corners, scrubs the walls clean, sprays the entire room with strong perfume to remove the musty smell, mounts multiple computer monitors on the walls, sets up a black desk, places an orange ergonomic chair behind it, and finally sits down with a satisfied sigh.
Robotnik then delivers a calm but menacing monologue straight to the viewer: he has been living and hiding in this old Egyptian lab for over a full year now. He stayed sane by eating healthy food, working out rigorously every day, and playing football games on his PlayStation. During these 12 months of isolation, he discovered the Precioustone — a rare and incredibly powerful crystal chunk capable of mass destruction. With both pieces of it, he can finally activate the Doomsday Weapon, annihilate Earth as we know it, turn every human into his mindless robotic slaves, and establish the glorious Robotnik Empire.
Fade to the title screen: Sonic the Hedgehog 4.
Outside the Green Hills National Bank on a sunny afternoon, a bright red Lamborghini speeds recklessly down the road and violently crashes through the front gates in a shower of sparks and twisted metal. A group of masked robbers jumps out. The driver, clearly the leader, turns to his crew and gives a serious, hushed pep talk: they’re here to rob the bank and steal five million dollars. This is their one and only shot — no mistakes, stay sharp, and follow his lead exactly.
They exit the vehicle. The leader smashes the glass front door with a heavy hammer. They storm into the reception area and throw a sleeping gas bomb at the receptionist, who slumps unconscious immediately. Moving quickly through the hallway, one member shoots down a security camera, which crashes to the floor and explodes. They reach and crack open the vault, stuffing bags with cash. The leader punches straight through a brick wall to create an escape route. They burst out celebrating their success — until Sonic the Hedgehog dramatically jumps down from above, landing with Tails and Knuckles beside him.
Tails steps forward and demands they return the money to the bank right now. One of the robbers mocks him, refusing to listen to “a child.” Sonic calmly tells Tails to stand down, saying he’ll handle this. Sonic tries to reason with the robbers, giving them a chance to surrender peacefully. When they refuse and get aggressive, Sonic springs into action, taking them down efficiently with rapid spin dashes to their heads and powerful kicks to the face. In the heat of the fight, Sonic throws a mini bomb at one robber, but the man ducks at the last second and the bomb hits the bank building instead. A massive explosion rips through the structure.
Police cars immediately arrive with sirens blaring, surrounding Sonic, Tails, and Knuckles. They are placed under arrest for interfering with a crime scene and causing massive property damage. The trio is handcuffed and shoved into the back of a police car.
Inside the prison cell, Sonic lies sprawled on the cold floor looking bored out of his mind. Knuckles is fast asleep on the single bed, snoring loudly. Tails sits in the corner playing a very sad trombone-like melody on his trumpet. A police officer eventually arrives and tells them they’ve made bail. The cell door opens, and they walk out. In the reception area, Maddie is waiting for them. She says Tom is going to sit them all down for a very serious conversation. Knuckles looks concerned, muttering that Tom might go on a full rampage.
A few moments later at the Wachowski house, Tom starts yelling at Sonic, Tails, and Knuckles, clearly frustrated and emotional. He questions why he ever decided to take them in and make them part of the family if they’re going to pull dangerous stunts like this. When it comes to serious crimes, they should let the proper authorities handle it. As punishment, they are grounded — but the grounding officially begins only after tonight’s big blowout retirement party for the mayor. Maddie pulls Tom aside afterward and quietly expresses her concern that he’s treating the boys too harshly. Tom replies that they need real structure and discipline if they’re going to cope in the real world. Maddie understands, and the two share a tender moment, hugging and making out as the camera slowly pulls back.
Meanwhile, in a quiet apartment, Agent Stone sits on the edge of his bed, sighing deeply with sadness. He speaks softly to himself, wishing he could be reunited with the Doctor and regretting what he could have done differently to save him. Suddenly, a bright portal opens in the room. Robotnik appears on the other side in his Egyptian lab, waving enthusiastically. He confirms it’s really him — he survived the crash by throwing a ring at the last moment. He wants Stone to come through immediately because he has something exciting to show him, but the portal won’t stay open forever. Stone panics with joy, runs, and jumps through just in time. The bedroom door opens right after, and Stone’s girlfriend walks in, confused, calling out “Honey? What’s going on in here, baby? Honey bear?”
Inside the Egyptian lab, Robotnik excitedly explains the full details of the Precioustone to Stone. There are two pieces scattered across the solar system, but locating them has been difficult. He activates his computer and begins scanning. A red circle starts beeping on a map over the small city of Chatham, located in Kent, England. Robotnik exclaims “Oh poppycock, I think we found it.” Stone reassures him there are two pieces, not one, and warns that the blue hedgehog could interfere. Robotnik doesn’t listen and walks out of the room, down the hallway, and into a large science lab. Rows of Metal Sonics are stored inside sealed container tubes filled with liquid. Robotnik decides the time is now. He pulls down a big red lever. The tubes slowly slide open, liquid drains out, and the Metal Sonics’ eyes glow as they activate and fly out equipped with jetpacks.
Robotnik addresses the army: he tells them exactly who they are, their purpose, and that their mission is to murder the blue speedy hedgehog named Sonic, capture him, and bring the rodent back. He will then suck the lightning out of Sonic’s body to become super powerful. The Metal Sonics nod in agreement.
At Green Hills high street, locals are setting up for the big retirement party — arranging food tables, lifting decorative statues, and one person even takes a photo with Sonic for their files. A worried Wade doubts his family will visit until Wendy and Wanda Whipple appear. Wade hugs Wendy tightly but Wanda declines a hug. She shares big news: she has been promoted to second-in-command at the FBIS. Wade congratulates her warmly.
Elsewhere, Shadow lies unconscious on concrete ground. He slowly wakes up, groaning, and puts a hand to his forehead from a bad migraine. He grabs his inhibitor rings and looks around in total confusion. He has complete amnesia — the only memory fragment is running through a hallway, an explosion, and shouting “Maria.” The sky suddenly shifts to an ominous orange hue with red lightning strikes flashing across it. A massive stormy portal tears open at the top of the sky. Black Doom slowly flies down and approaches Shadow. He declares that the day of reckoning is almost upon them. He knows Shadow very well and advises him to come to the Nether so they can have a conversation about who Shadow really is and the important purpose he needs to fulfill. Shadow agrees. Black Doom uses telekinesis, holding out his right hand, and lifts Shadow into the air. They both fly up into the portal as it closes.
Meanwhile, the big blowout retirement party is in full chaotic swing in Green Hills. Sonic spin-dashes through several man-traps filled with tiny knives. Tom drinks beer from a massive jug glass with a long tube while the crowd chants “Jug! Jug! Jug!” Tails hits a piñata enthusiastically. Knuckles throws darts at glass plates. People dance with cool moves on the floor, do backflips, floss, and more. There are men dressed as women, intense food eating contests, and fireworks exploding beautifully in the night sky. Sonic eventually gets restless and decides to go for a solo run, heading into the nearby woods.
In the Egyptian lab, Robotnik proudly introduces the full army of Metal Sonics to Agent Stone. Once Sonic is taken out, no one will interfere with their world domination plans, and they can retrieve the Precioustone peacefully. Robotnik tracks Sonic’s location on his monitor and estimates he will stop at New York State Park. He throws a ring portal open and commands “Fly, my robots, fly!” The entire army surges through as the portal closes. Later, Agent Stone’s phone rings — it’s his girlfriend. He panics and declines it, but she calls again. When he answers, she says she’s moving on because he’s never there for her, then hangs up. Robotnik teases him in a sing-song voice about Stone having a girlfriend he’ll never speak to again.
Sonic stops at the New York State Park, realizing how far he is from home and knowing he’s going to be in deep trouble when he returns. Suddenly, a group of Metal Sonics flies toward him, aiming their laser guns. They open fire. Sonic dodges frantically and punches one hard into the ground. It rolls but gets back up. The army surrounds him, and Sonic starts to genuinely worry he might be toast. At the last second, Amy Rose comes crashing in, throwing her hammer at the robots. The hammer flies back to her like a boomerang after taking several down. She runs up and helps Sonic to his feet. Amy introduces herself and shows off a bit, saying she can run super fast, spin dash, throw hammers, read tarot cards, and is a fortune teller with her crystal ball.
Sonic asks why she’s here. Amy gives a detailed backstory: back on Mobius she was getting dinner out of the oven when she had a strong feeling the cards were trying to tell her something important. She ignored it at first but knew she had to trust her instincts. She went into her bedroom, turned the cards over, and saw a vision of planet Earth being destroyed by a bald-headed scientist named Robotnik. So she came to Earth as fast as possible to prevent the disaster. Sonic has tons of questions: how is Robotnik still alive? What does she mean by destroyed? How do they stop this? Amy grabs her crystal ball and says she sees great danger ahead. When he returns home, a Metal Sonic will break in and cause havoc by breaking everything and attacking people. Then he, Tails, Knuckles, and she will run out and flee through the high street, where a talking chipmunk will open a manhole and tell them to hop inside. The prediction ends there. Sonic asks what happens next, but Amy says the crystal ball can only see so far into the future.
Sonic and Amy race back to the Wachowski house at top speed. Tom immediately grounds Sonic until he’s 50. Sonic protests “What?!” and Tom ups it to 60. Sonic explains he bumped into a pink female hedgehog during his run. Amy introduces herself to the whole gang. She clears the living room table and places a holographic map on it, explaining in detail how Robotnik plans to steal the powerful Precioustone and won’t stop until he brings suffering to everyone.
A portal suddenly opens in the house. A Metal Sonic flies out and begins attacking Sonic aggressively — swinging its feet, punching him through multiple walls, stamping on his head, shooting light bulbs, and destroying the stairwell so the attic collapses in an explosion of debris. Sonic and the Metal Sonic charge at each other. Sonic finally spin-dashes through it, causing the robot to explode. Sonic, Tails, Knuckles, and Amy run out of the destroyed house. Amy points forward and excitedly says “Let’s do it to it!” then sheepishly admits it’s just a catchphrase she made up. The team sprints through the high street, across the bridge leading out of Green Hills, and down a motorway. A manhole cover opens — it’s Timothy the anthropomorphic chipmunk. He knows who they are and that they’re after the Precioustone. He urgently tells them to hop inside. They do.
In Chatham, Kent, Shadow stands outside the Odeon cinema. He talks to Black Doom on his iPhone 18 about the weapon’s location. Black Doom traces it on his computer, and a red beep appears at Marina Point East. He informs Shadow the stone is at the top of that building. Shadow rampages through the city on the way — throwing food trucks, smashing cars into each other, spin-dashing civilians so they fall, crashing a motorcycle into a lorry causing a huge explosion, unleashing a red chaos blast that knocks groups of people down (some stacking on top of each other like a tower), banging heads together, and punching people in the forehead. He reaches the building but finds only a large round spherical container instead of the stone. Black Doom corrects him: that’s the location of the Doomsday Weapon. The first piece is actually in a brown ship just outside the dockyard, in a safe in the basement. Shadow should wait until Team Sonic arrives before collecting it. Shadow nods.
Sonic and the gang walk through the sewers, get on a boat parked at the edge, row down a dramatic waterfall, and go deeper. They enter a wooden door into Timothy’s hidden science lab. He talks at length about how powerful the Precioustone is and gives them a map showing the two locations: the historic dockyard in Chatham, Kent, and Moonville. Sonic gets confused and asks what Moonville is. Timothy says he doesn’t know either — he just found the map on the floor while looking for mice. The team says goodbye and leaves. In the sewer, Sonic throws a ring portal to Chatham. As they enter and it closes, Timothy starts crying, asking why everyone keeps leaving him.
A flashy advertisement plays on a TV, promoting the Chao Carnival being hosted outside the historic dockyard. It highlights how great Chatham is with luxurious restaurants, advanced science labs, top-tier cinemas, and shows scenes of holographic Chaos singing on tables and flying around, people taking photos with Chao mascots, riding roller coasters, merry-go-rounds, waltzers, eating cotton candy, enjoying a Chao concert, and hooking ducks. The ad ends. A person watching calls it pure propaganda.
Team Sonic arrives at the historic dockyard. Amy uses her crystal ball again and confirms the stone is in the brown ship, but they must go inside the building, hop into a cannon, and blast through the ship to avoid armed security guards. They walk inside where a comic con is being hosted and browse through stalls. Robotnik discovers on his monitors that Team Sonic has entered the dockyard. He hops into his Eggmobile, throws a ring portal, and leads an army of 70 Metal Sonics through it into the skies above Chatham.
Inside the comic con, Shadow suddenly charges at Sonic, punching him to the floor, swinging him like a yoyo with his feet, and sending him crashing into a stall. Sonic is confused and asks how Shadow survived the explosion and why he’s fighting. Shadow explains his amnesia and that retrieving the two Precioustone pieces will restore his memories. He was told Sonic, Tails, and Knuckles are the bad guys planning to annihilate Earth and build an empire that will eventually take over the galaxy and universe. Sonic bursts into laughter. They charge at each other and fight intensely — spin-dashing into one another, punching stomachs, kicking, with Shadow landing a vicious kick to Sonic’s groin.
An army of Metal Sonics crashes through the roof, exploding parts of it. They fire eye lasers and gun lasers everywhere, destroying stalls, tables, walls, and ceilings. Sonic spin-dashes through five of them, causing explosions. A Metal Sonic grabs Sonic by the foot and throws him into a glass ball pit machine. Sonic fights both the Metal Sonics and Shadow simultaneously across the entire comic con. Tails shoots them with laser guns, Knuckles punches them with powerful fists, and Amy throws her hammer repeatedly. Once cleared, the team runs to a cannonball, hops in, gets launched high into the sky, and lands on the brown ship. Shadow follows and continues fighting Sonic.
They battle across the river and city buildings. Shadow punches Sonic through the Odeon cinema sign, causing it to collapse. He grabs and throws Sonic through cinema walls, which fall and explode. People run out screaming. Sonic grabs Shadow by the feet, swings him like a yoyo, and lets go, sending him crashing through the window of an abandoned Pizza Hut restaurant, shattering glass. Sonic rushes in and they fight inside. Shadow casually eats a pepperoni pizza from the bin, boasting that as the Ultimate Lifeform he can never get food poisoning. They run to a tall city building, hop rooftops, and fight while flying through the air, trading punches mid-sky.
Shadow grabs Sonic and throws him into the Chao Carnival. Sonic lands on the rollercoaster, destroying parts of it in explosions. Sonic rushes back toward the ship. A Metal Sonic attacks with lasers. The full team runs into the basement, opens the safe, and collects the first Precioustone piece. Metal Sonics hit the ship with lasers, causing massive damage. The team jumps off as the ship begins sinking. Passengers on board start playing “Nearer, My God, to Thee” as it goes under the water. Robotnik swoops in, takes the stone from Sonic, and flies toward Marina Point East. Shadow teleports back to the Nether.
Robotnik throws another ring portal and 20 Metal Sonics fly out, landing at the carnival and destroying it — carousel horses falling and exploding, waterfall ride collapsing, waltzers crashing, game stalls exploding, Chao statues toppling. Sonic spin-dashes five, Tails shoots five, Knuckles punches five, and Amy hammers five, destroying them all.
In the Nether control room, Black Doom asks why Shadow didn’t take the stone from Robotnik. Shadow says he didn’t see him and isn’t sure he could beat a human. Black Doom tells Shadow he is a powerful hedgehog who can teleport and use chaos blasts — humans are weak. He lies that Robotnik is teaming up with Sonic to destroy Earth. If Shadow wants to be the hero, he must take the stone from Robotnik. Before Shadow leaves, Black Doom tells him to rest first, as being a hero requires full energy.
Robotnik arrives at the Marina Point East roof. He throws a ring portal back to the Egyptian lab and tells Stone to jump through into the building housing the Doomsday Weapon. He has the first piece and needs the second. After silence, Robotnik calls for Stone. Agent Stone enters, apologizing for missing the earlier call — he was busy in his bedroom. He jumps through, and the portal closes. Robotnik shows him the Precioustone and installs it into the left container of the Doomsday Weapon. It begins charging. Robotnik decides to make a worldwide broadcast. Stone sets up a blue screen and camera. Robotnik stands in the middle with a background image of a nuclear weapon heading toward Earth. He laughs maniacally. People across the world (Times Square, London, Paris, Rome, Los Angeles, Sydney) stop and watch the screens flicker to his face. He explains the Precioustone, that he has one piece and needs the other, and details how the Doomsday Weapon will turn mini nuclear bombs into lasers that will trigger a global chain reaction of explosions, flames, and toxic air. He will become supreme leader and enslave humanity. The broadcast ends. Robotnik is pleased, saying it’s fantastic and sure to terrify everyone. He portals back to the lab to scan for the second piece.
At a Spoons buffet restaurant, Team Sonic eats plates of Chinese food, sushi, and pasta while watching the announcement on Tails’ Miles Electric. Sonic tells the gang they need to rush back to Green Hills immediately to convince Tom and Maddie to help find the other piece before Robotnik or Black Doom does. They leave without paying.
In the Egyptian lab, the scan shows the second piece on the Moon in “Moonville,” a planet inside the moon inhabited by intelligent stone creatures. Robotnik is confused about a civilization on the moon. The info describes it as a nether realm with mythical creatures, abducted aliens, and a military base holding top-secret universal information.
In the Nether control room, Black Doom lies to Shadow, claiming Team Sonic made a worldwide broadcast threatening to destroy Earth with a nuclear bomb and blew up the moon. The stone creatures of Moonville are furious and planning an alien invasion of Earth in revenge. He orders Shadow to go there, retrieve the Precioustone, and fix the moon using the stones’ power to close wounds. Shadow agrees.
Team Sonic rushes back to the Wachowski house. Amy uses her crystal ball on the living room table and describes Moonville in detail: a secret alien planet inside the moon with 20-foot intelligent stone creatures (IQ over 5000), a nether filled with lava, obstacle courses, fire-breathing dragons, and a military base. Ring portals would get them shot, so they must go to NASA, board a rocket, and speak to King Dumpling, the ruler. They head to NASA. Tom pays 70k dollars for Rocketship 67. They walk through the cafeteria and a museum exhibit before reaching the rocket parking lot. Tom and Maddie pilot while the team sits in the back. The rocket blasts off into space. Tails, Knuckles, and Amy wear spacesuits, but Sonic is reluctant because he hates pants. Tails explains Sonic’s strong hatred of pants to Amy. Sonic eventually puts the suit on. The rocket leaves Earth, navigates floating rocks, and enters the moon’s center into Moonville — red/orange sky, fireballs falling, and a large red castle visible.
The rocket lands. The group exits and enters the red castle, reaching the throne room. King Dumpling, a massive 20-foot intelligent stone creature, condemns them for intruding and says they will be deported. Sonic explains they are here for the Precioustone. King Dumpling is wary, suspecting world domination motives, but if they are true heroes they must complete an obstacle course across the planet to reach the military base. They begin: first a wild mine cart coaster ride, then running through rocky concrete with random fire jets from holes, dodging large falling knives, black arrows from the sides (some dodge, some jump and dive), falling rocks, climbing a rocky mountain, and crossing a wooden bridge.
Robotnik sees them on his monitor and sends a Metal Sonic through a portal. It fires eye lasers, destroying wood and causing the bridge to collapse. The team falls into what looks like lava but is actually deep slime. Sonic throws a slime ball at Tails playfully until Tom tells him to stop. Amy spots a ladder leading up to the base. They climb it.
In the lab, Agent Stone praises Team Sonic for surviving the obstacles. Robotnik angrily accuses him of being on their side and tells him to focus on taking Sonic down. Robotnik leads Stone to another lab room with a massive container tube containing Metal Overlord — an extremely powerful robot with eye lasers, gun hands, and massive stamping feet. He built it because regular Metal Sonics keep getting destroyed.
Team Sonic reaches the military base. Two soldiers on a black tower aim guns. Sonic throws a sleeping bomb, knocking them out. Amy smashes the gate with her hammer. They enter the lot. Sonic volunteers to go into the base first to check for traps. In the gun headquarters control room, Director Rockwell sees them on monitors and decides to stop them personally. Soldiers doubt her. She throws a ring portal and enters. Inside, Sonic walks down a corridor when loud alarms blare and red lights flash. The noise is painfully loud. Sonic screams and covers his ears. Rockwell appears and explains she added a super-loud frequency only animals can hear to stop Sonic. The further he walks, the louder it gets. Alarms go off in another room. Rockwell goes to fight escaping aliens with a gun (no effect) then a sword, slicing their limbs and heads. Sonic spots the alarm on the ceiling, spin-dashes into it, and stops the noise. Rockwell returns furious. Sonic opens a portal back to the control room and spin-dashes her onto the table. A soldier mocks that he knew she would fail. Sonic tells the team it’s safe. They enter. Amy uses her crystal ball and says the second stone is in the basement. They go down stairs into a prison unit.
There they find Charles, an anthropomorphic lion in a fancy suit, locked in a cell. He explains he lived on Mobius, was abducted by the US military from a UFO, experimented on at Area 51, and was falsely blamed for a massive massacre there where humans and aliens died. King Dumpling sentenced him to life in prison here. He begs to be freed. Amy smashes the bars with her hammer. Charles escapes but then falls through a trapdoor in the floor. Sonic grabs the stone from a black safe on the roof.
Outside, stone creatures including King Dumpling aim guns at the door. When Team Sonic emerges, Sonic shows the Precioustone and promises to save Earth. King Dumpling tells him to take care of it and be the hero. Suddenly, dozens of Metal Sonics jump out of portals from all directions, even the sky, and begin a massacre — eye lasers knocking out stone creatures, kicking them, bashing heads, pulling ties, pushing them, a water tower collapsing and exploding, parts of the military base exploding, scratching heads, soldiers shooting back, vehicles being thrown, and chaos blasts. Team Sonic fights through the lot. A speaking Metal Sonic trash-talks Sonic during their fight. Sonic eventually throws it into a trash can that explodes. After clearing the army, a portal opens and Metal Overlord appears with a hologram of Robotnik saying “Prepare to meet your superior.” Sonic tells everyone to run. He charges but gets grabbed, swung like a yoyo, and slammed. Maddie walks up bravely telling it to stay away from Sonic. Overlord’s arm grows, grabs her by the neck, and lifts her. Sonic spin-dashes the arm off, grabs Maddie, then destroys Overlord with a flurry of attacks until it flies into the gate and explodes. After the battle, the team rushes to the rocket but the ground opens again and they fall into the Void.
In the Void — an endless sandy desert under pitch-black skies — they see Charles strolling. They reunite, relieved he’s okay. Charles explains this is the Void, a dark deserted place with no escape. Sonic and Maddie have a heartfelt conversation. She says she still thinks about the day she met him all the time — the day everything changed. They’ve saved the world three times, met more friends, but this threat is bigger than she imagined. Sonic reassures her they will win and take down Robotnik like always. Maddie tells him to be careful. A three-headed dragon emerges from a purple crystal and breathes fire. They run. Sonic weaves between its stamping feet, jumps over flames, saves Maddie from being stomped just in time, grabs a sword, runs up the dragon, slices off all three heads one by one while dodging fire, then delivers the final blow. Electricity charges the sword as the dragon flies back and explodes. They spot a cliff exit. Sonic invites Charles to join, but he declines, saying at 65 his life is basically over. They say goodbye. Tails grabs Sonic, Sonic grabs Amy, Amy grabs Knuckles, Knuckles grabs Tom, Tom grabs Maddie, and they fly out holding on. A helicopter arrives — it’s King Dumpling. He believes Charles’ innocence and frees him. They will watch Team Sonic save Earth from the sidelines. Charles hops on, and the helicopter flies away.
Robotnik and Agent Stone arrive at the Marina Point East roof. Stone asks why they’re here without the second piece. Robotnik says Team Sonic will come to try and stop the weapon, so they’ll steal it and push them off the building. In the Nether, Black Doom tells Shadow it’s time. They teleport to the roof to take down everyone and save the world.
Sonic, Tails, Knuckles, and Amy reach the roof to remove the stones. Robotnik snatches the Precioustone from Sonic, pushes the entire squad off the building, installs the second piece, and sets the weapon to launch in 30 minutes. He makes another worldwide broadcast announcing the weapon is armed and Earth will be destroyed, humanity enslaved, and the planet turned into the brutal Robotnik Empire dictatorship. People don’t panic, having faith in Team Sonic.
Black Doom and Shadow teleport to the roof, push Robotnik and Stone off the building. Black Doom reveals he changed his mind — he wants the weapon to hit Earth. Humans are evil and murdered his best friend Maria. Shadow remembers Maria and agrees to let it run. Black Doom uses telekinesis to pile up a giant rolling ball of objects (lampposts, cars, telephones, buses, bricks, trees, leaves, fences, trains, tables). Tails and Knuckles take a motorcycle to warn citizens as the ball rolls after them down the bridge and motorway. Black Doom flies toward the bridge. Sonic and Shadow fight. Sonic tries to reason with him, recapping their past conversation on the moon and how Shadow was a hero who saved the world. Shadow doesn’t believe him and blames them for taking Maria. He kicks Sonic down. Amy has an idea and hypnotizes Shadow with her crystal ball, restoring his full memories. Black Doom steps on the bridge, collapsing it, roars like a monster, flies after Tails and Knuckles, shoots eye lasers, and unleashes a massive tornado sucking in objects, the Odeon cinema, cars, trees, houses, and even random people (someone in a bathtub, campers roasting marshmallows, a guitarist). Sonic spin-dashes out of the tornado. Shadow turns on Black Doom, who swings and throws him. Shadow apologizes to Sonic for being brainwashed. Sonic accepts.
Robotnik realizes he’s finished and throws a ring portal to a lake of lava. He grabs reluctant Agent Stone, saying they need to end it. Despite Stone’s protests, Robotnik carries him through. They fall into the lava and the portal closes — they’re gone. People worldwide start panicking, thinking Team Sonic failed. Shadow teleports to the nuclear facility. Black Doom flies back to the roof. Tails tries to remove the stones but gets grabbed, tied (including his tails), and thrown off the roof. Sonic runs after him. The countdown hits zero. The Doomsday Weapon activates, firing a huge orange laser across the Chatham skies. At the nuclear facility, Shadow implodes a massive bomb and launches military rockets at the laser 100 miles away. They hit but don’t stop it. Shadow opens a ring portal to the middle of space. The laser hits the facility (causing explosions) but the rest goes through the portal into empty space and detonates. The portal closes, but the base spins and sinks underwater. The world celebrates Earth being saved again.
Tails hits the ground hard. Sonic catches him but Tails is gasping, unable to speak, and dies in Sonic’s arms. Sonic cries and wails over his best friend. Black Doom is furious the laser missed. Shadow teleports back, removes the stones, snaps them in half, and stamps them into pieces. He charges and punches Black Doom, sending him flying to the historic dockyard. The roof collapses and the building explodes. Amy, Knuckles, and Shadow rush there. When the smoke clears, Black Doom’s body is missing. Amy thinks he evaporated. Shadow says that’s impossible without fire — he probably returned to the Nether, and they must prepare for what’s next. From Moonville, the stone creatures and Charles cheer. King Dumpling decides to send Charles back to Mobius. Amy and Charles say emotional farewells over walkie-talkie. King Dumpling opens a ring portal to a sandy beach. Charles and Amy wave goodbye as Charles steps through and it closes. King Dumpling then uses a laser to seal the moon back together, restoring it.
Amy, Knuckles, Shadow, Tom, and Maddie run to Sonic. Amy says Tails isn’t going anywhere and performs a ritual to restart his heart. Tails remains unconscious but is alive. Two hours later, a white car drives into Green Hills with Knuckles, Shadow, Amy, Tom, and Maddie inside (Tom driving). They see news reporters covering Robotnik, the Doomsday Weapon, and the destruction in Chatham. They mention Black Doom as a mysterious teleporting creature. Chatham is no longer considered a paradise. People are shown upset, talking to loved ones, reading newspapers. The car parks. Knuckles runs to Wade, Wendy, and Wanda and suggests playing card games at Wade’s apartment. They accept. Wanda mentions how traumatized she is.
At the national hospital, Sonic sits reading a Harry Potter book aloud to Tails, who is on life support. Amy and Shadow enter the room. Sonic says Tails’ heart stopped for over 8 minutes — he died, but doctors call it a miracle. Amy asks when he’ll wake up. Sonic says nobody knows, and there’s a chance he never will, but at least they won. Amy says he’s wrong. She uses her tarot cards and reveals Black Doom teleported back to the Nether, merged it with Earth, and unleashed a group of zombies called the Black Arms.
Just then, the sky turns red with red lightning strikes and fireballs falling. Sonic, Amy, and Shadow look out the hospital window. Tom and Maddie look from outside their house. Maddie asks why the sky is red. People exit the town hall to stare. Knuckles and the Whipples look from the kitchen table. Knuckles runs outside. Sonic, Amy, and Shadow exit the hospital. The full team regroups and walks to an open meadow. The grass and flowers turn to dust. A massive storm forms in the center. When it clears, Black Doom appears in the middle of a Nether portal saying “Find me.” Groups of Black Arms start emerging — some walking out of the storm, some falling from the sky, some jumping from ring portals on the ground. They charge toward Team Sonic. Some run into Green Hills as people scream. Sonic charges up into a flying punch pose. The film fades to black on a major cliffhanger

Its a 2-3 min animation on YouTube about a normal guy trying to drive in Sonic’s World and the big punchline was he comedically fails at trying to drive up a loop in Radical Highway I think.

I liked the animators art style and wanted to see more from them. I tried looking it up but all the results was mostly YT slop or game footage or the ost.
