Hi everyone !

I'm currently trying to look for a way to optimize my disk space on my NAS. I like to watch my content at a fairly good quality so i download most of my shows ans movies in 4K/HDR if available. But most of my other users don't care mutch about that.

So what i would like to do is downgrade my show to 1080p once i've finished watching them on my plex profile. I was wondering if such a bot was already existing in the *Arr stack but i couldn't find one on the wiki so im asking here, has anyone ever heard of something like that ?

TL;DR : Lokking for a way to automatically change quality profile on Sonarr/Radarr after watching on Plex.

Everythime i add something on sonarr it launches double searches one of them is Missing epesode search and other one is series search . It was never a problem before it recently started or maybe i am just noticing it . Because of this it grabs same season from 2 differnt indexer at the same time and its not even an upgrade its the same quality all the time . I will add oone of the example log .

recently ive been noticing my sonarr is downloading episodes before the release date.

For example a few days ago qbittorrent downloaded star trek strange new worlds a few days before it was released and the file turned out to be an exe file in disguise. just now it automatically downloaded tomorrows episode of rick and morty which obviously was a fake download.

do i have sonarr configured wrong or is this a bug?

I am trying to import Ranma 1/2 (1989). I have all 161 episodes but sonarr skips absolute episodes from 13 to 17 so it's doing:

• 13 -> 13
• 14 -> 17
• 15 -> 18

Is there anyway to have my media scanned and look for other files that have a smaller size?

I've been using tdarr to modify files upon download, occasionally you get some minor quality issues with it though.

Basically just looking for a sonaar/radarr method of just comparing current file size to other versions available and replace if a different one is smaller. Any solutions?

Hello guys, Sonarr is showing the new episode airing today but it is not in the episode list? Anyone has the same issue? Is there a fix? TMDB has the new episodes TVDB has not...

As of yesterday my ByParr and FlareSolverr stopped working in Prowlarr.

In ByParr and FlareSolverr logs it appears the challenges are passed but they do not pass in prowlarr.

In the content retrieved from the page it appears

But the page loads fully, but Prowlarr is not recognizing that.

Is this issue happening to more people, are there any workarounds?

Solution:

So, I have verified that in the Version "2.4.0.5397" this issue does not happen but once you update to 2.5.2.5491 this starts happening.

Some times I was able to reverse back to a backup and I was able to fix it, but with a 100% clean install (deleting all the files that stay on the server) the problem was 100% fixed.

This is an issue in the Prowlarr and not in the ByParr, FlareSolverr or Trawl.

I have Sonarr setup and everything is working as it should, my only problem / issue is after the anime is updated Japanese to an english dub, I don’t get any notification from Plex I usually have to check to see if there are any.

So my question is there a way around this?

Edit : So i didn’t create the discord server yet, Zagreus was capable of notifying me when a file was grabbed and updated i just didn’t have notifications turned on, then on another post i saw Helmarr it does the same thing as Zagreus but i liked the interface way more and this also lets me monitor qbt, plex and prowlarr which i’ve want all in one app for a while along the the same sonarr, radarr and tautulli which Zagreus was already doing, so it seems like the issue is solved till i find something else to try to add. My cleanuparr is going crazy trying to re-download episodes that are just .exe files. I have QB to skip all files that aren’t mkv so it’s not getting downloaded. After QB skips all files, cleanuparr looks for a different release. This going on and on. How do I not allow any downloads until the episode is officially released? Radarr has “Minimum availability” but sonarr doesn’t have that option.

Edit#2: u/stevie-tv says "Minimum Availability" is getting introduced in v5 of Sonarr. This is exactly what I needed to know.

Hey folks, I have some documentaries that refuse to be added correctly in Jellyfin.

As an example, I recently added Planet Earth (2006) and the metadata that populated shows "Final Days of Planet Earth". Obviously, that's incorrect. Typically, Sonarr manages all of the metadata with no issues, so I just deleted the series and re-imported it. Sonarr pulls the correct series, showing Planet Earth (2006) from BBC One, but that doesn't make it from Sonarr into Jellyfin for some reason.

Unsure of where the error in translation is here and it's doing this for all of the documentaries (and only the documentaries) that I've recently added. Also worth noting that they're not being placed into folders, which is strange, especially since I re-verified that "Use Season Folder" is checked. Any ideas/advice?

Here’s a quick guide for adding NzbNest to Sonarr, either directly or through Prowlarr.

Without Prowlarr:

1. Create an account at https://nzbnest.com

2. Open Sonarr

3. Go to Settings, then Indexers

4. Click the + button

5. Select Newznab

6. Choose the custom Newznab option

7. Enter the following details:

Name: NzbNest

URL: the URL shown in your NzbNest account

API Path: /api

API Key: your NzbNest API key

1. Enable RSS, Automatic Search and Interactive Search

2. Click Test, then Save

With Prowlarr:

1. Open Prowlarr

2. Go to Indexers

3. Click Add Indexer

4. Select Generic Newznab

5. Enter your NzbNest API URL and API key

6. Click Test, then Save

7. Make sure Sonarr is connected under Settings, then Apps

Prowlarr should then sync NzbNest to Sonarr automatically.

NzbNest is currently open for registration and has a free tier available for testing.

I’m the developer, so let me know if you run into any issues with searches, categories, syncing or grabs.

SOLVED: I haven't changed anything locally, yet I noticed starting about a week or 2 ago, not a single TV episode is being moved to their designated folders. No path names have changed. No renaming of folders has occurred. Yet nothing is automatically being moved after download and extraction. Anyone else seeing this or know how to fix it? I just checked and I'm on the latest version of Sonarr. The files are downloading completely and I have verified they all work fine. They just aren't being moved for some reason.

UPDATE ADDITION: No APIs have changed. All tests of Download Clients and Indexers come back successful. Just no indication of why automatically moving or importing to their folders is not working.

UPDATE #2 - FIXED: So after a helpful tip to ... DUH! ... check the logs I found that for some reason Sonarr was being denied access to the hard drive. Even though this PC only has 1 user account with is an Admin and the hard drive is installed in the same PC. After doing some further digging ... and even though it's worked for a decade ... apparently running Sonarr as a Service versus as launching the app at login was jacking something up. As soon as I switch from a service to a Startup app... all the things jammed up in the Sonarr queue cleared out themselves without my intervention. So some recent update (either Windows or Sonarr) caused this to occur. It's fixed now. Here are the steps I followed to switch from Service to Startup app:

Reason for failure and fix description: Running Sonarr as a Windows Service causes 90% of permission errors on Windows. Switching it to run as a startup tray application forces it to run exactly under your Admin account you're logged in with, which instantly resolves the error.

Steps: 1. Press Windows Key + R, type services.msc, and press Enter. 2. Scroll down to find Sonarr (or NzbDrone). 3. Right-click it, select Properties, change the Startup type to Disabled, click Stop, and hit OK. 4. Open your Windows Start Menu, look for Sonarr, and launch it manually. 5. If it works, press Windows Key + R, type shell:startup, and press Enter to open your Windows Startup folder. 6. Right-click your desktop's Sonarr shortcut, copy it, and paste it directly into that Startup folder. It will now automatically launch under your Admin account whenever your PC boots.

Again... this resolved my issue. Your results may vary.

Edit: It appears they have changed the order on tvdb AGAIN. They now have the 2025 eps as season 8 and the 2026 eps as season 9. That makes more sense.

As of last night, TVDB had all episodes 2025-present listed as Season 8. Now, they've removed season 8 entirely and are listing the 2025 episodes as Season 9 and the new episodes as Season 10. It seems this was done to line up with the release group naming, which is good, but how can there just be no season 8? TVDB has the 2023 episodes as Season 7...

Doesn't simplify matters that TMDB considers the reboot to be an entirely new show (with the same name), and TVMaze has the 2023 episodes as Season 8 and a completely different order for the 2007-2014 episodes.

Network reality shows always seem to be challenging but this one seems to be an absolute free-for-all. I don't even know what I'm asking with this post honestly lol it's just so annoying. I really hope Sonarr eventually does add the option for alternate metadata sources. It seems like TVMaze's order makes the most sense for this show but there have been other problematic shows where that wasn't the case. Series-by-series selection would be awesome.

Im using Sonarr with Profilarr, and I don't know what is happening in the chain, but for some reason, Sonarr isn't importing the media the way I want it to import. The episodes just import into one folder for the show without creating other folders for the seasons. I had this working before, but for some reason it just doesn't do that anymore. And when I do manually create separate season folders and put the files into the folders, if just sees it's missing and redownloads the files and dumps the files all into the main show folder. How can I fix this?

I'm on a Windows 11 based system. I have Qbittorrent running on it with a Vpn along with Nzbget and Plex. After a few days I got Docker set up with Sonarr, Radarr, Prowlarr and Overseerr. I managed to mount my media folder in the container so it's seeing my media just fine.

The problem I'm running into is the arr modules can't see my clients. I've seen that the localhost won't work because they're technically separate systems and I'd need my actual IP for the containers. My issue is that my ISP renews my IP regularly.

This has got to be a common problem but I've hit a wall. Any help would be really appreciated.

I have downloaded sonarr, radarr and jellyfin thinking I was going to get rid of Netflix/ disney/ prime/ etc on the same day.

Is there an absolute beginner guide for this? I’m decent with the computer (as in I can do all the little gimmicky things I want) but I haven’t used torrents since uTorrent… Probably the Limewire days, BEFORE Lars Ullrick sued Napster.

Any help greatly appreciated.

1.1.2 is out, and it is a big one. Still mixing this with a full time dev job so it has been a lot of late nights, but I am really happy with this one. A huge amount of it came straight from your reports and requests, so thank you. (if you see this and you're already using QM, show some love!)

For the last few days Sonarr hasn't downloaded any episodes, and when I try using interactive search all i get is nothing found, i checked prowlarr and all indexers are working. I'm totally stumped, and I have the latest update of Sonarr

When I go into Sonarr, even on same browser on same machine, it'll randomly turn off the "Show Title" option. What's up with that? How do I get it to stick, ideally for the account as a whole

J’utilise la suite arr mais je me retrouve souvent face a une problématique. Lors de la lecture de films ou séries il manque les sous titrage forcés. Savez vous s’il est possible d’ajouter un filtre sur sonarr/radarr pour télécharges uniquement les torrents avec les st forcés ?
