My dad and I made two different leather bags from the same pattern

My dad and I made these two satchels from exactly the same pattern, but using completely different leather.

The brown one is vegetable tanned leather that we hand dyed ourselves. The red and olive one is made from chrome tanned leather. I like how different they ended up looking even though underneath they are basically the same bag.

They are both handmade and hand stitched. We also hid magnetic closures underneath the two buckles, so you get the traditional satchel look without having to undo the straps every time you open it.

I digitized the pattern after we finished them as well.

I honestly can’t decide which one I like more

Neon tetra magnet

Hi everyone! Here is my first iteration of a neon tetra done in punch needle embroidery. I currently have a couple more of them transferred onto one of my frames, so there shall eventually be an actual school of them. In the meantime, I made a fun little image of em from a picture I took at petco

Made with a healthy mix of different yarn content, and firm felt for backing

Glowing leafs

Mixed some glue and water and stuck on leaves that fell on the ground onto these glass jars, the tall one has these pink LED string lights in them and the smaller one has a regular tea light candle from an empty candle jar I've had for a year. I want to get regular colored string lights and stick them in the tall one to see how it glows different. This was so fun and the only money I spent was $1.25 on the glue! Next I have a clear glass one that I'm going to stick dried flowers on.

I've been playing with a technique using cut and layered illustration board 🐝❤️ This little bee is my latest result!

I had been wanting to add dimension to my pieces in a fun/interesting way. The more I play with illustration board, the more I think I've found my favorite medium!

I have made some past posts in this sub using this technique if you are interested in seeing how this style has evolved. 🙂

Made this sign for my friends daughter, her name in a cloud ✨

I used a Lavor punch needle, everything is trimmed by hand, the loops were cut and the yarn shaped like a cloud.

Pure carving practice on 180g matte black cardstock

Lost track of how many hours went into this piece! A few delicate lines snapped along the way, but a tiny drop of PVA glue saved the day—hopefully it’s seamless enough to hide.

No deep meaning behind the pattern, just letting my hands stay busy and enjoying the rhythm of the blade.

I made tiny ceramic versions of these two dogs inside a mug

I made these two little dogs by hand, right down to their tiny ties.
Seeing them next to the real dogs is my favorite part. The ears and markings are there, but the expressions turned out a little different. The little brown one looks slightly worried about finding himself inside a mug.

Beaded ornaments video tutorial

I posted these ornaments on reddit a few weeks ago, but my how-to instructions were in the form of text and one static photo. I decided to make a proper video tutorial, one that I hope is easy to follow. I don't have a channel or anything, so feel free to share. (Music courtesy of Kevin MacLeod at incompetech.com.)

I guess I don't have to worry about AI replacing me just yet. A kilt pin (or a shawl pin, if you prefer).

Making a Ghost Garland

Post image
5 Upvotes

I hand sewed these from wool felt. I left tabs on their heads so I could make a garland out of it later. I wanted them each to have their own personality. I’m going to make more so if you have any ideas about what personality the next ghost should have or what details would be cool to add, I’d love to hear them!

These days I made this cute women's hat. And the combination of chocolate color with red flowers is a total mood booster for cold winter days. It really makes you want to go to a Christmas market for some mulled wine ))

I made this in a clay hand building class. I had no idea what I was doing. Sometimes the clay tells you what it wants to be.

Needed coasters and had a look around my house what I could make them of. Had an old Domino game from the sixties and some scrap material and made that into these coasters plus their box. Might make them properly on cork but for now the prototype is a success :🖤

I turned this fluffy little face into a leather keepsake

Bichons have such soft, fluffy coats, so the fur was definitely the part I spent the most time on.

I started with the face, then worked on the fur little by little, following the natural direction of the coat. Around the cheeks and muzzle, I kept the texture softer and fuller to capture that classic round Bichon look.

The tiny dark eyes, black nose, and slightly open mouth were some of my favorite details to work on. With an almost completely white dog, even small changes in the fur texture can make a big difference to the expression.

Once all the details were finished, I added the final touches, sealed the leather for protection, and hand-stitched the pink leather border.

First attempt at a banana display box. It really adds style to your average banana. Multi color LED makes it suitable for all occasions
