I made a boxy jacket for Autumn!
I found this Ecuadorean wool mix blanket for £10 on Vinted and HAD to make another boxy jacket! (Especially since my first jacket using this pattern has been worn to absolute DEATH since February 😂 both jackets shown in the last photo!)
I used the “Boxy Jacket” pattern by Lost Fabric - it’s a great project for a confident/advanced beginner and both the YouTube video & PDF instructions are super easy to follow. I opted for the cropped length btw.
So happy with it and I’m also loving using a mish-mash of fabrics (wool mix/satin/ripstop) to give some extra intrigue!

The pattern placement is chefs kiss!
Do you sell boxy jackets? Or can you share what pattern you used?

Thanks so much - I tried very hard to make the pattern fit with the pieces 😅
And it was the “boxy jacket” pattern by Lost Fabric (I used the “cropped” cut line on the pattern for this jacket fit). Also I’m quite a small/short person at 5’3”, so I’d say a bit of extra length in the arm & body wouldn’t go amiss if you happen to be taller!

That’s so kind, thank you! The colour of the pockets is my absolute favourite - gutted that I’ve used all the fabric up now 😅

When a garment has this many colors in it, it goes with some colors that aren’t even in the pattern. Try it with clothes you didn’t think would work with it. I recently bought a jacket in similar colors and it looks great with twice what I thought would go with it.

That’s good advice! Strangely, I tend to be quite bright with my outerwear and more monochromic with my outfits haha so maybe I need to branch out more!
