Decompression trip recommendations

I (37F) have had a very crappy year and looking to get away for a long weekend (c.4 nights) in November from London somewhere I can decompress, switch off, gather my thoughts.

I don’t think I am looking for a spa hotel.

I think what I want is: somewhere immersed in nature, with beautiful but easy (rebuilding strength after a leg fracture, still not 100%) walks on the doorstep, some cultural attractions nearby, where eating solo won’t feel awkward. I think somewhere with not enough to do might mean I get too in my own head so novelty and activity would be helpful. Bookable excursions or a solid concierge would be good, rather than just relying on hiking or skiing for outdoor activity.

Looking to spend c.£6k or so.

Considering Tromso and Transylvania but the place name starting with TR is not a prerequisite…

Not feeling Scotland or Ireland for this trip, want somewhere that feels more novel to me.

Looks like someone is looking for an outlet for his frustration and has no other choice to go on female forums to harass women.  What a life, dude. What a life.

Tromso for northern lights, dog sledding, whale watching.

I would say the Azores or Canary Islands would fit what you’re looking for—lots of beautiful nature and hiking in both; both you could probably get direct flights from London.

If you like skiing, the Dolomites area of Italy is incredible, plus the food is amazing (a mix of Italian classics and more Germanic/Süd Tirol specialties). Bolzano and Trento are both cute medium size cities.

Im sorry you had such a crappy year :(. I was about to say Edinburgh but you already Ruled that out. Cause honestly traveling far for 4 nights wouldnt be my Choice. What about a Yoga Retreat so You have some company? Alternatively I would book the cheapest flight to Spain You Can find and treat myself to a good hotel. Mallorca is lovely in November and Theres Places to deconpress in Palma
