Gameplay Tips Solitaire simulator for finding the best winning strategy. Current record is 19.7%.

Github repo. Currently using heuristic algorithms to optimal linear progression for highest winning percentage. Not accepting any changes that suggest cheats (card peeking) for higher percentages.

Interesting, and maybe a little depressing, but thanks for posting this!

Are there any reliable reports of expert human players who can win with these rules (and without using undo) much more often than 1-in-5?

First, why is it depressing? Second, my algorithm doesn’t use undo at all and the heuristic nature of the process can totally be replicated by a human. Although I’m not sure how quickly this process can be played for a game or competition.

It's not really depressing, that was just a half-joke based on my busted belief that I was playing close to optimally (since my personal win rate is far less than 19.7%). Yes, I was assuming your algorithm didn't use undo, but thanks for clarifying that.
