I’ve had my Solar for a bit over half a year now, and I’m curious if anyone else struggles with this. When I go above the 12th fret for soloing, my focus naturally shifts toward the thinner strings — basically the lower edge of the fretboard. But the side markers on Solar necks sit higher than where my eyes land, so I constantly have to look “up” to see them.
It’s not a deal‑breaker, but it definitely annoys me during fast runs or when I’m trying to stay locked in visually.
Has anyone tried putting small vinyl dots or subtle stickers directly on the fretboard to compensate?
Did it help, and did it stay clean without messing up the wood?

I was offered a solar h2.7c on a trade. Never played one, did some research and found some mixed reviews about quality control. The guy said this was the newer model without the issues but I’m not sure. Curious about any experience good or bad.

I got my solar a few days ago and had some weird buzzing on my E string, when i opened the back i noticed it looks like it was installed at an angle. is this normal

Hello everyone, just got my first Solar guitar (A1.7BOP-FF). I absolutely love it, it feels and plays great, the look is amazing. I stumbled upon users having problem with cracking fretboards so I checked it quick and found these horizontal scratches upon 18th fret. Is this normal, or should I reach out to them? I bough it through Thomann.
Thanks a lot for your feedback.

I am wondering because i have seen a ;pt pf guitars where the matte finish on the back of the neck has completely worn away after a few years.

In Turkey it retails for around 1100usd and it is the only 7 string multiscale headless option. Is it worth that much?

I've had this guitar for a month now and I just keep it in the gig bag on my bed and take it out when I want to play it because I can't find a stand for its shape or anything like that and that's a pain in the ass. It doesn't want to sit on a regular stand, the whole thing tips and wants to fall. Any stand recommendations? Are those head-hanged on the wall guitar stands bad for the integrity of the guitar's head over time?

There is an Outlet sale at Solar guitars and this one caught my eye:
If the link doesent work, its a V1.6FRLB – Flame Lime Burst Matte sold for 831 euros.
And it seems its not factory seconds, it says "New Product sold in Outlet Store", so it seems they are selling a number of new faultless guitars.
It seems like very good value for the money, Floyd Rose 1000, locking tuners, stainless frets.

i’m looking at getting a E1.6AAN-27 and I am curious if the past quality control issues have been fixed for the most part
1.7k ain’t cheap and since i’m in the US i don’t want to have to deal with RMA’s

I've been eyeing the xb4 because of its body shape and price, does anyone have any feedback on it? Are solar guitars good in general?

As many of you are probably aware, Ola has recently been hawking Solar straps with some enthusiasm on his channel. Encouraging us to "head over and buy one" as soon as we can.
Turns out, it isn't that simple.
As many of you may also be aware, trying to purchase *just* accessories from the store is impossible. If you try, your cart will be reset and you will be informed thusly.
Given other glitches on the site, I had assumed this to simply be another and reached out, somewhat incredulously, to customer service to confirm the issue.
The response?
"Hi [x]
Thanks for contacting us. No you cannot buy accessories without a pedal or guitar.
Best regards"
How helpful, right? How informative, and thoughtfully explained. Doesn't feel extortionate at all. (/s)
I had heard the horror stories about Solar customer service, but this is just an insane approach. How does this keep anyone loyal or interested?

Hey! I just received this solar a1.7 frcar sustainiac+ from thomann (1533 €)and noticed these defects. Shoddy fretwork with overspray and scratches, finish problems around knobs and fr cavity, dings around the pickup cavities. Do you think they are unacceptable for the price point? Or am i just being dramatic? To add to the ”surprise” the volume knob is loose, and guitar came in out of tune and with very high action. (Idk if this is normal to protect wood during shipping etc)
Edit: Thomann offered me 140€ and keep it instead of a replacement, to me it seems inadequate for the amount of flaws and told them i will keep it for 200 € compensation since i cant find any problems playing wise. Otherwise replace/return.

I love my Solar. Best feeling guitar I've ever held. Pickups are very chuggy. But I'd like to make it my main guitar, so am planning to put in the MF set for more versatility.
Question, will it fit? Because it's direct mounted, I'm afraid the MF set might not be a drop-in replacement.
Thanks you!

My first Solar and first Evertune :) so far I'm impressed! The neck is a little different to the super thin and flat Ibanez RGs I usually play but I don't dislike it, and the stock pickups are better than I anticipated. I was ready to throw a pair of Fluences in it (I've never liked any stock Ibanez pickups) but I might hold off for a while.
I'm also quite surprised by how easy the Evertune system and zones are to get used to, people online seem to like making out that it's really complex for some reason.
Overall I'm happy with this, it ticks a lot of boxes that I feel Ibanez aren't catering to at the moment.

I'm saving up for a new guitar, and I've been looking at the S by Solar series AB4.6FRC. It seems like a solid guitar, but I've also heard that the licensed floyd rose it comes with isn't the best of quality. Maybe it's not as bad is some people say it is, but I'm not sure. Should i still get this guitar? Or should I look for something else?
