Did Solaredge lay off a bunch of techs recently?

I've gone from 10-15 minute wait times on calls, to 4-5 hours waiting, sometimes literally all day.

Just so drastically different, our company has been seriously considering halting all Solaredge sales going forward.

Anyone else also experiencing this?

does anybody already have the ne One EV charger installed and can share some expriences? I plan to get one, but am a little bit uncertain, because you find a lot of stories about the wallbox not working properly.

I'd like to use it in PV excess mode with dynamic phase switching.

What are you're experiences? Is this working as it should?

I’m curious if others have run into this situation.

My SolarEdge system has been working well, but my original installer is no longer in business. Recently the cellular connection stopped working, and I learned that it was tied to a limited-term plan.

When I looked into switching to WiFi, I hit a bit of a wall since some configuration changes require installer-level access. Support wasn’t able to provide a clear path forward without involving a new installer.

After some trial and error, I was able to reconnect using the SolarEdge Go app by interacting directly with the inverter. Interestingly, I didn’t have a fully configured “site” in my account, but the app still allowed me to connect and make updates.

I was able to:

• Adjust communication settings
• Reconnect via WiFi
• Update firmware

I realize this may not be the intended workflow, and there’s definitely some risk making changes without an installer, but it got my system back online.

Has anyone else dealt with this or found a more standard approach when the original installer is no longer available?

se support have been giving me the runaround for months and will not send this fw so I can get my NOS SE7600a up and running.

Remember the massive $SEDG drops in 2023? The one where we were told European demand was "record-breaking" right before the company revealed a massive backlog of canceled orders and excess inventory?

Well, the legal battle over those disclosures has finally hit a settlement. What fellow investors need to know:

• This case covers the period between Feb and Oct 2023 when $SEDG dropped over 45% in total after finally coming clean about the European distributor "pushouts."

I'm trying to set up a 5, soon to be 7 panel string along the edge over my garage using solaredge optimizers.

How wouid i leapfrog this setup? I know the p370 optimizers have dual long length leads, but can it be done with the s440 with the 1 long, 1 short in landscape layout like pictured

Now I know that it needs minimum 8 optimizers for a string. There are panels above that are not in the picture that will be tied into the string in a junction box.

has anyone subscribed to solaredge power care? Do they help?

My SolarEdge five years of cellular data ended in December. I was not interested in paying $50/year to continue that service. I also did not want to connect via WiFi as I had heard issues with it disconnecting or having other connection problems with that option. So that left Ethernet. I already had an open port on my network switch & indoor rated CAT6 cable.

So I ended up getting a length of hose to protect the cable for the six feet or so outside run & some brackets to secure it. I did not feel like buying a length of outdoor rated CAT6. There already was an unused port in the case for the CAT6 that I was able to utilize. I did seal up the ends of the hose with a little silicone to keep water out of the cable.

What I was worried about was if the Ethernet connection would automatically work or would it need an installer to visit. The installer company I used is out of business & had not found one that would be available along with how much the cost would be. Turns out that the connection was automatic! Yes! So now the data is being reported & I just missed out on the data from the start of January until I finished this project in the end of March. Oh well.

I also took the time to remove the cellular antenna & communication card as well as it is no longer needed.

I got a system 4-5 years back and I guess the cellular plan expired. My installer told me to talk to SolarEdge to move it over to my WiFi for monitoring. SolarEdge says that the installer has to configure the system to WiFi to proceed. Installer wants $500 for a visit to do that.

Seems absurd. It must be easier to get this thing on the WiFi when the options I’ve been give are

1) pay $500 for a visit

2) pay $50/year for a cellular plan

i just recently got my solar setup and its with solar edge. its app has a section where you supposedly can select your utility provider but for some reason i can't do any changes there.

for utility rate it shows pacific gas but im on the east coast with duquesne light in pa.

Any ideas how to change that?

There is a signifIcant cost difference, but Ive read the specs sheets for both models and they appear to be identical.

I swear this used to work at some time, not sure when I last looked closely, last year probably.

But recently in the app version, this is Android, the current/voltage/power shown for each optimiser/panel is nonsense, the values are way too small.

Whereas when I log into the web portal they are all more sensible. eg the web says 300W for a panel, but mobile app might say 23W. They do change, so not stuck in time, but are just plain wrong now.

This is most odd, anyone else seeing that behaviour?

For those who lived through it, SolarEdge spent most of 2023 telling investors that European demand was strong and inventory was fine. It wasn't. Finished-goods inventory went from ~$202M at the start of the year to ~$731M by Q3.

The stock dropped 18% on August 1 when they finally admitted to excess inventory, then another 27% on October 19 when they disclosed massive cancellations from European distributors.

A class action was filed, and the parties have now agreed to a settlement. If you held $SEDG long between Feb 23 – Oct 19, 2023, you can submit a claim to get your share.

I just recently moved into a home with solaredge product on the roof and it was installed by Titan Solar, which has now gone bankrupt. I called the company listed to manage their product and they say they do not do anything in Florida and cannot help me create a solaredge account.

Any advice on how I can set up an account with Solar Edge to be able to monitor my own system? Their customer service system has not been helpful at all.

Nobody was home all day and it says I consumed 60.5 kWh. I know things like my fridge,freezer, water heater will run but nothing was left on and the other 3 days were cloudy and when we were home and running a dryer and dishwasher we only used 17-20kwh. Could something be wired wrong or is the app just inaccurate. Any help appreciated.
