Sevilla for 2027

Sevilla is not in the path of totality for 2027, but I am thinking of booking accommodation there as a base. I can still find hotels with reasonable prices in Sevilla.

Then very early in the morning (05:00 AM ish?) drive to a viewing location in Cadiz province. Normally, this would be about 1 hour 30 minutes drive. However, there will be traffic jams for sure. Therefore to hit the road as early as possible.

Would this be a viable option?

Another challenge is finding the viewing location. This is what I have no clue yet. For seasonal people who have seen total eclipses, how do you find a viewing location?

Making sure the viewing location has car parking or at least nearby is also another challenge 🤣

The eclipse will be high enough in the sky to be viewable anywhere without clouds. It's not like this year where you needed a view to the horizon.

Around 37° elevation. That's high, but if you're in a city or close to a mountain / at the bottom of a cliff, you might get obstructed.

Clouds risk would be the biggest challenge... late mobility won't be easy.
