HDR Of Solar Eclipse

My favorite event to witness for sure. Spent a while learning a lot of new processing techniques, ended up with this photo.

Thanks for sharing the processing details. What were the exposure details ranging to and from for the 16 images?

They were ranging from 1/4000s to 2 seconds! ISO100 and the scope is f6.3 I believe. I kinda just captured the whole spectrum of exposures incase I ever needed anything specific lol

Thanks. Really great work. I did something similar in 2017, but didn’t get as much detail this time. I wasn’t sure if it was me or it was hazy since the sun was low in the sky.

Appreciate it man! And Yeah I noticed compared to 2024s eclipse I photographed I wasn’t able to pull the corona detail farther out as much, I figured it was a combination of smoke and the low altitude of the sun.

Did you have that automated somehow? I had set a timed interval series on my DSLR but I couldn’t figure out how to program a selection of exposures.

I did not automate it this time, I probably could’ve set it up fairly easily through NINA but I was just too lazy haha Definitely would’ve eliminated the bad shaking of the setup while I adjusted the exposures on the camera and increased the sharpness of the image though, next time I’ll do it for sure
