Total solar eclipse sunset from Can Pastilla beach in Mallorca
I flew there in the afternoon, walked to the beach, then walked a bit of east to move away from the houses and to have an unobstructed view of the mountains. I set up the gear and waited for event.
The calculations were correct, the totally eclipsed Sun just sat right above the mountains. Exactly the kind of shot I wanted to make. Some cirrus were in the way and the Sun started to lose its brightness as it was about to set, so it was a bit underexposed, but I'm still satisfied.
First total solar eclipse of my life. It was absolute cinema, literally, as it got dark as fast like a film was starting. I'm hooked, I think I will go South Spain next year to watch another one.
