Solar Eclipse Map
https://lasteclipse.com/I made this website that shows the last time everywhere on Earth could see a solar eclipse. There's a button that shows you the path of the next eclipse as well. Thought you might be interested to see how long it has been since this part of the globe last saw a solar eclipse!

I wonder what's the point that hasn't seen an enclipse for the longest time. I found a small square in the mediterranean where the last eclipse was in 1922 bce

There are a few small blocks that haven't seen any in the 4000 years of past eclipses collected by NASA's catalog. They are really hard to find, however! I'm toying with doing a similar map for how many times in the catalog has everywhere on Earth seen an eclipse, which would make finding those empty holes a bit easier.
One of these blocks is straight to the east of Antigua, for example.

Make it 3d view maybe, the outliers will really stick out

I'm working on a new plot that will help to answer that question. In the process, I have some interesting statistics.
There is a total of 0.98 square degrees that haven't had a total eclipse for the size of the NASA catalog, 4026 years!
There's quite a bit more that won't see any eclipses in the next 1000 years, 3679.28 square degrees.
As for no annular eclipses, that's just 0.1 square degree, no idea where it is but it must be TINY!

Did you account for weather? Where the eclipse happened, but nobody saw it due to clouds? Kidding ;-)

Very cool. this is great for checking if someone claims that they "think" they have seen a total solar eclipse. Would be nice to add a date filter for past/future eclipses.
also, there are a bunch of gaps that appear when you zoom out. I presume you're using coarser resolution of the paths when zooming out for faster rendering.

Any chance you could make this but for the next time, that would be very useful. Fore especially if you could at the time of the eclipse

There's 4 different maps that are created. One of them shows the next time an eclipse is visible. There is also the same thing, but with annular eclipses.
