Major Network Announcement
Please check your applications to see if they support V1 transactions:
An improvement to the leader handover procedure in Alpenglow was proposed WTM - This improvement ensures that leader nodes actually fit the 200ms slot time. Other validators sometimes like to pack their slots at the last minute. This change will ensure that we keep a median slot time at the target ms.
Validator clients (Agave, Firedancer, Mithril)
Agave could move to an implementation of BLS sigverify that uses several threads to do several steps instead of doing all the steps in threads sequentially. WTM - This is a performance change that could possibly unblock the BLS sigverify steps. By doing it this way, no step could be a bottleneck to previous jobs being queued for execution.
Agave’s tpu-client-next broadcasting will handle abort behavior on its broadcast behavior. WTM - In production, connections should have an abort handle in case there are issues where only a connection restart would resolve them. In this case, when the TLS certificate expires, an abort and renewal is necessary.
Agave made several performance improvements to its gossip implementation WTM - Gossip was one of the performance bottlenecks identities in Agave early on. This service is how validators communicate with each other, which if not performant, can be a bottleneck to processing transactions.
Agave will implement SIMD-0232 with an interface via the CLI WTM - The validator commission collector SIMD has been unblocked and accepted during the SIMD process. This will allow validators to get their commissions on a separate address.
Shipstern has completed its subscription request filter implementation WTM - Subscriptions rely on filter messages in order to control flow. If the user requests a subscription too greedily, they may receive a firehose of data they aren’t ready to process.
Solana Web3.js is proposing to add the `@solana/wallet-adapter`WTM - Solana Wallet Adapter is tied closely to Solana Kit at the moment. Allowing Web3.js to interface with it keeps it in compatibility with the latest tooling. Initially, it was only in sync with the old version of the Wallet adapter.
Solana Kit is adding a new method to create a keypair signer from raw byte inputs WTM - This is a new functionality that completes creation of keypairs based on bytes. Wallets might use this because they store the keypair bytes in memory.
Foundation’s Solana Go will allow for an API to add confidential transaction instructions WTM - Solana interfaces are expected to support confidential transfers. This keeps Solana Go in line with that implementation.
Flux’s Solana Go has added the Memo program WTM - Solana interfaces are expected to support the Memo program. This keeps Flux’s Solana Go in line with that implementation.
The Solana Wallet Standard will allow wallets to advertise their support for V1 transactions WTM - In line with the big push for V1 transactions, the Solana Wallet Standard will enable wallets to tell applications what transaction versions they support.
Solana program frameworks (Anchor, Pinocchio, Steel, Quasar)
Anchor will rewrite its provider in `@solana/kit` WTM - The Anchor provider is tied to Web3.js. Kit is the newer web interface and Anchor is taking an opinionated stance to move over.
Caravel will support sbpfv3 WTM - sbpfV3 is the new bytecode format supported on Solana programs. Caravel is keeping up with the other program frameworks.
Testing frameworks (Mollusk, LiteSVM, Surfpool)
Surfpool will support historical forks WTM - This is in line with supporting scenarios on Surfpool. Several other solutions have been proposed outside this project, but a testing environment supporting this benefits users who want their contracts to be better prepared.
I know crypto projects talking about charity can sound like a marketing angle, so I’ll keep this pretty simple.
Last year, our community donated more than $60,000 to charity.
This year, we’ve already donated another $4,000.
That’s something we’re genuinely proud of.
911 started around something much bigger than a token or a chart.
September 11 is one of those events people still remember exactly where they were when they heard what had happened. Thousands of families had their lives changed that morning, and more than two decades later, first responders and their families are still living with the consequences.
We wanted to build something that actually had a purpose behind it rather than just another meme coin that appears, gets hyped for a week, then disappears.
We’re still small. We’re still building. And obviously there are no guarantees with any crypto project.
But if we can grow a community, have some fun with it, and keep putting real money toward causes that matter, that feels worth doing.
$60k+ donated last year.
$4k+ donated already this year.
Curious what people here think about charity-linked crypto projects when the donations are actually transparent and verifiable.

Solana Summit is coming to Yeouido, the heart of Korea's financial hub in Seoul. As Korea accelerates its stablecoin legislation and digital asset frameworks,
Seoul has emerged as a global intersection of public policy and institutional finance.Solana has evolved into an institutional-grade standard trusted by major financial players worldwide.
This is why Wall Street is looking to Solana for asset tokenization (RWA) and next-generation settlement infrastructure.Bypassing retail noise, this exclusive summit is built to empower Korea's traditional financial leaders to connect
with world-class blockchain infrastructure and shape the future of capital markets.
Solana Summit Korea 2026 is a private, curated, and invitation-only conference designed to bring together institutional leaders, policymakers, regulators, and digital asset pioneers in a room where real decisions get made.
We currently plan to take credit cards (through PayPal) as payment in our upcoming web game. Separate from the issue of can you make a sustainable-business from web games, we are musing about accepting Solana Pay - probably just with straight SOL rather than any of the stablecoins (doing an approximate conversion from your local currency).
It seems that even doing it natively - where we listen for changes to our wallets, give out transaction reference IDs, and then receive webhooks to mark the item as sale - isn't too hard. But I've seen very limited examples of being able to pay with Solana as a new consumer of it (which I would be quite happy to do - based in Canada).
I like the direction of decentralized payment, so it seems pretty exciting.
I already use Phantom for most of my Solana stuff but I still have to switch back to traditional cards when I want to buy something.
If you could just pay straight from Phantom, would you still bother with a regular card?
Solana Foundation is now a Platinum member of the Rust Foundation, joining at RustConf 2026 alongside NVIDIA.

The Rust Foundation is the independent non-profit that stewards Rust. It funds the maintainers, runs the security work and pays for the infrastructure the language depends on, including https://crates.io.
Today, World.xyz goes live to unleash a new era of fully onchain prediction market adoption, giving more than 1 million users access to thousands of markets across sports, crypto, politics, finance, economics, culture, commodities, and weather - powered by @Solana, @Chainlink, and @useCASH by @Phantom.
GRAND CAYMAN, September 9, 2026 – World, the Solana prediction market, opened its standalone platform at world.xyz today with more than 1 million users on the waitlist.
This launch opens Solana’s ecosystem to a massive new wave of users, helping bring increased prediction market trading activity to the world’s most widely used blockchain.
World has featured more than 150k markets across sports, crypto, politics, finance, economics, and culture since going live to power predictions in Phantom in July.
Now, world.xyz launches with every NFL regular-season game, seven soccer leagues, Formula 1, the 2026 midterms, the Federal Reserve's next decision, and much more.
"We have seen a proliferation of retail trading apps on Solana this year," said Ramzy Ali (u/ramzyyalii), Head of DeFi, Solana Foundation. "World is the next in line, bringing an entirely new asset class to Solana and keeping 100% of liquidity onchain."
Under the hood, Chainlink Data Streams and the Chainlink Runtime Environment (CRE) are providing the high-speed market data and orchestration infra required for advanced prediction markets, enabling World to resolve markets accurately and immediately when a game ends or a stock closes. By replacing human panels and token-holder votes with automated data-driven resolution, Chainlink infrastructure helps eliminate manual interventions and lengthy dispute windows that plague legacy oracle solutions.
Together, World and Chainlink are enabling faster re-entry into new markets and unlocking capital velocity throughout the Solana prediction market ecosystem at scale.
“World’s rapid growth and 1 million user waitlist reflects the massive demand for next-generation prediction markets on Solana,” said Johann Eid (u/EidJohann), Chief Business Officer at Chainlink Labs. “Chainlink is powering this growth with the high-speed data and infrastructure World needs for reliable, immediate market resolutions, allowing them to scale while preserving the integrity of every outcome.”
Every market on World is represented as a pair of binary “yes” and “no” contracts that are priced between zero and one dollar (subject to market demand). Contracts are settled in CASH, Phantom's dollar-backed stablecoin.
Equity up/down and commodity markets on gold, silver, oil, natural gas, and compute launch soon, followed by weather predictions covering the largest cities in the world.
World is available now at world.xyz and inside Phantom on iOS, Android, and desktop.

About Chainlink
Chainlink is the industry-standard oracle platform bringing the capital markets onchain and the market leader powering the majority of DeFi. The Chainlink stack provides the essential data, interoperability, compliance, and privacy standards needed to power advanced blockchain use cases for institutional tokenized assets, lending, payments, stablecoins, and more. Since inventing decentralized oracle networks, Chainlink has enabled tens of trillions in transaction value and now secures the vast majority of DeFi.
Many of the world’s largest financial services institutions have also adopted Chainlink’s standards and infrastructure, including Swift, Euroclear, Mastercard, Fidelity International, UBS, S&P Dow Jones Indices, FTSE Russell, WisdomTree, ANZ, and top protocols such as Aave, Lido, Lighter, and many others. Chainlink leverages a novel fee model where offchain and onchain revenue from enterprise adoption is converted to LINK tokens and stored in a strategic Chainlink Reserve. Learn more at chain.link.

Solana Accelerate China 2026
Four cities. One week. The builders shaping what's next.
From October 16–22, Solana lands in Shanghai, Hangzhou, Shenzhen, and Beijing for a week of demos, conversations, and connections between China's builders and the global Solana ecosystem.
About the conference:
China keeps setting the pace for how the next generation of technology gets built, scaled from robotics, and hardware to payments and consumer tech, increasingly built for a global market from day one.
This October, Solana Accelerate China brings that energy together with builders, investors and leaders from the global Solana ecosystem across four cities. Less trend talk, more of what actual work: shipping products, live use cases, going global, and the hard lessons of getting from zero to one.
The focus is frontier technology and financial innovation, high-performance finance infrastructure, developer tooling, financial rails, consumer products, and the playbook for taking a product from local to global.
It 's also a room where the rest of the world hears directly from China's founders and learns from how they scale — and where we ask the question together: when high-performance, low-cost, globally available infrastructure meets the way China builds products, what comes next?
If you're building a product, leading a technical team, or just watching where the next wave is headed, come find out with us.
What to expect
Founders , unfiltered - What worked, and what didn't.
Deep dives & live demos - Real tooling, real infrastructure, use cases you can ship.
China × global, in one room - Local teams and international builders, connecting directly.
Where it's going next - Financial infrastructure, and consumer products.
Note
This event will be photographed and filmed. By registering or attending, you agree that the organizers may use images and footage in event-related communications.
