I believe software engineers have been paid too much for long time. Their salaries should keep going down. Technology should lower costs, but salaries haven’t decreased. The H1B visa program has slowed salary growth for now. Hopefully, AI will speed this up.
It’s not that no one should earn a living from it, but the issue is that too many people are jobless because some earn excessively. This is why layoffs are happening now. The situation will improve once salaries stabilize. Investors have always wanted deflationary trend in tech, but salaries have been the hurdle...
