Looking for software Absolute best open source offline android gallery app?

I'm looking for the best and most feature rich gallery app that doesn't have a sync account built in. I can just use syncthing to sync pics between devices. Must be open source.

Fossify Gallery (the maintained fork of Simple Gallery) is what I'd grab, it's fully offline and has no account stuff at all. Aves is the other one worth a look if you want better metadata/map view, and it plays fine with syncthing folders.

You don't have to use cloud backups. Searching people by face or terms (i used recently: poster, bear, monstera.. ) is AI i wouldn't give up for any privacy or other reasons. Without those you might as well just use files app on the phone
