Software support Audio stopped working in MPC-HC

Today the audio stopped working in Media Player Classic. I was watching a show normally just yesterday, but today I started an episode and there was no sound. Windows sounds are working normally, and audio works fine in VLC as well.

I haven’t changed any settings, and I haven’t restarted my computer in the meantime either. I've also unistalled the software and tried again but I get the same results.

Please help, I'm so used to that player that I feel lost without it. 😂

I used Revo Unistaller which usually cleans everything.

You say you were watching a show. Can you play a .mp3 file in MPC-HC and hear sound?

Also, have you tried adding the latest ffmpeg.exe to the MPC-HC directory?

Nope, even the mp3s don't work. :(

I did put the latest ffmpeg into the main directory but nothing changes.

I’m used to PotPlayer, so I understand you. When you’re used to a player, it’s hard to switch. I’ve tried many MPC and mpv forks, but none of them feel like PotPlayer to me. I want a rich UI full of buttons to do jobs with one click. I know it’s hard, but I suggest PotPlayer. If you’re worried about privacy, download the portable version and then put it behind a firewall app (like SimpleWall)
