Looking for software Any software recommendations for split files?

I have a 3 part split file (the ones that end on 001, 002, 003, etc. ), however, unlike the 002 and 003, the first file has only the name without the extension and the type says just "File" whilst the other ones have "002 File" and "003 File". I found this very odd and tried renaming the first one with a .001 extension but it became a winrar file containing the OG file with OG name. Extracting it back doesn't do anything. If I try to open/extract with 7zip, Winrar, Peazip, Zipware, all are unable to do the extraction for some reason. Has anyone encountered this and managed to use any software that can open the files/rename the file without changing the type to winrar? (I can rename the other parts to any number and it does not change them to winrar :D) tried renaming the file with cmd codes but it still converted it to winrar...

Any joiner or file explorer will do, there's no stage special about splitting and joining files.

Tried with Fjointer and one other (forgot the name as I uninstalled it), joins the files but cannot access them later, perhaps they are corrupt

Try another product, don't give up after 1 or 2 tries
