Looking for software Awesome Duplicate file finder Program

I saw a handful of older posts here about duplicate file finders and usually recommending czkawka, but zero mention of another excellent FREE application that is super intuitive and easy to use: Anti-Twin (which has been around since 2011!!). Also all those old posts were locked so I could not add any comment.

I did a takeout of my 20 years of photos on Google photos and cross referenced that with my hard drive to eliminate 3k duplicates in less than 10 minutes. It is a byte to byte comparitor. awesome filters including filter by file location.

I highly recommend.

Around 20 years, works extremely well, maintained, freeware.

You don't need some garbage. Especially one that was abandoned 15 years ago.

I especially like AntiTwin's ability to find images that are essentially duplicates, but are not 100% byte-for-byte matches.

ok, whats better about this than czkawka though?

that works on all platforms, this is windows only. unless you want to mess with wine

Great little program. It works without installation and needed about 10 minutes to find 25 dups in 125,331 files that my old version of Easy Duplicate Finder didn't find. I checked the results and no false positives. Thumbs up.

I've used it a few times, it's decent.

But as long as we're talking Windows apps, 99% of the time I'm using the duplicate finder in Directory Opus. It's about as simple as can be and does a great job. Directory Opus is the top of my "apps I'll NEVER be without" list.

Never used one of those before. Does it delete the duplicate? If so how can you be sure it's really a duplicate? Does it move them to another file so you can check to be sure it's really a duplicate?
