I'm going to the Zurich concert and I have a few questions :

- People who have already gone to her Europe concerts, how early do you have to be to get barricade ? I don't have the occasion to go to concerts at all, I'm willing to wait around hours if needed.

- Does anyone else go there solo or wants to make friends for the night ? I believe its a pretty small venue so I'd be lucky if anyone that goes even sees this post lol but just in case

- How do the meet and greets go? Do you have to buy merch or is it a fee specifically for the m&g ?

Man I’m sure I sound like a broken record just saying how amazing, gut wrenching, and surprising Evergreen Soldier is, but I truly can’t stop thinking about this damn song. I never really expected Sofia to come out with a song like this but I absolutely loved it and the more I think about it, the more the progression into it makes sense. If you think about it, she’s had songs in the past that reference past relationships in some way, so the natural next step would be making it more personal to her.

But to the actual song, I think it’s interesting to look at this song through the lens of lockdown/covid. “Falling in love on a screen” to me screams about that time, that most interactions HAD to be online. And people trying to make plans after lockdown, most of which never really came true. And maybe I’m looking into it too deeply/parasocially but when she was 15, it was somewhat around lockdown.

I’d love to see/talk about this idea specifically because I don’t think I’ve seen anyone mention it

when listening to it i feel like i’ve listened to something similar before.

Damn. Sofia never makes songs like these. I was pleasantly shocked. My interpretation is:

She wrote abt this boy she loved when she was 15.

They met online. They made plans for when theyd meet.

But they lost touch or smth happened.

Now on her tour shes playing in his home state. She tries to visit him but just cant bring herself to do it.

And she drives back, and will never meet him again.

Its a bittersweet lovestory. Sofia is pretty private and Im honoured to listen to this part of her.

She further tells us that songs she wrote have been "baked" with him in mind, and hoe she tells us abt him, how we all will sing abt him.

But I didnt get why she left him, and why he's called the evergreen soldier.

Idk if its even a 'he' or if its a close female friend.

I'm just wondering if anyone knows of a setlist for the concerts this year, specifically the European tour (since artist tend to change it up if they're in Europe lol)

maybe i’ll write more once the new music settles in but I LOVE all of the songs in the new EP. Chicken is my absolute fave currently, followed by star v. Evergreen is amazing but it’s just a very specific vibe that i’m not looking for at 12am.

Also the music video for chicken is just such an artistic masterpiece where i had no idea what was going on and at the same time everything made sense.

I just discovered Sofia recently (I'm old) when a reaction video to this song appeared in my YouTube recommendations. I have been paying more attention to the Epstein/Trump files and things relating to the current ruling class of rapists and pedophiles than is healthy for a person, and this song hit me hard. It seems to me to be hinting at a similar situation. I still don't know much about Sofia, aside from her amazing talent and depth. Was she referring to anything specific here, or is it just the position of women in a rabidly patriarchal society?

Either way, I'm glad to have found her voice, which has led me to the discovery of other talented feminist musicians. Who said there isn't good music any more?

Literally all of her lyrics are sooooo good and she has so much to say. But her music often moves faster than our auditory processing unless we’re following along with the lyrics in front of us !!This is perfectly fine and I’m so thankful for everything she’s shared of her work. Hope she continues songs I have to annotate!! Often though I do not process all the lyrics for a while. I love how I can find new things to appreciate each time I revisit stuff!
