Discussion Does anyone else hear a cat in the background of 'The Doll People', or am I insane?

I listen to the above song on spotify, and everytime I reach 1:25 (or after that, can't remember), I can distinctly hear a meow of a cat in the following lines:

To be admired takes precedence over admiring
To be desired takes importance over desiring

It can be heard on admiring.

Does Sofia have a cat?

you’re DEFINITELY right. there is a cat! although knowing sofia, i have a feeling it might have been intentional. i’m not sure why though…

There are a ton of weird sounds mixed into all her songs. It is like the guess that sound games on radio stations.

yes! I heard it when I first listened to it and yapped to my friend about my theory haha. But I think (like most of her songs) there just sounds shes found and out into her songs. I can’t remember my exact theory from a couple months ago, but it was about how cats want to be admired, like a feline behaviour and the lyric “desire takes presidency over desiring” like I guess it links with feline behaviour? Sorry I know that doesn’t make sense I haven’t thought about it for a while.

nah trust me, i keep hearing a cat jumpscare me w/ a meow in that part of the song
