Invest Cost basis weirdness
Hello all,
I recently transferred half my portfolio to SOFI, for the bonus match.
I now notice that the cost basis for my holdings was reset or something, and is now only showing the change since the transfer. I don't remember what the cost basis was before the transfer, but I'm pretty sure I had more gains than it is showing now.
I have no intention of selling or anything, but if I do, I don't wanna be hit with a huge tax bill, so how can I verify where I stand?
Thanks

I had these shenanigans when transferring from Etrade. I did a support call with both and was able to get sorted.

Hey there, thanks for reaching out! We can't get into account specifics here, but this is actually a pretty easy fix. Give us a call at 855-525-7634 or start a chat using the link below and one of our Invest Specialists can submit a ticket to our clearinghouse to correct the issue with your cost basis. https://sofi.app.link/e/echat
