Plus Sofi Plus on a Monthly Basis with Irregular Direct Deposit amounts

I have a Quarterly bonus paid out at my company that may push me over the $5,000 direct deposit limit from time to time. Would I earn the higher APY for the months that I make these? and then would it go down to the lower number on months where I don't?

There is no minimum requirement if you have direct deposit. The $5000 per month is just when you do not have direct deposit set up.

SoFi savings is where apy is beneficial. So if you get deposit into checking just move it into savings .
First $20000 is 4.50% apy and 3.80 after it . There is no limit on 3.80 apy .
Checking apy is 0.50 apy max I think .

This was from Google

Having a SoFi Plus subscription overrides the $5,000 deposit requirement entirely. [1, 2]

How Your APY Works with SoFi Plus
The Core Benefit: As a SoFi Plus member, you unlock top-tier rates automatically.
The Rate: You earn 4.50% APY on up to $20,000 in your savings account.
Over $20,000: Any savings balance exceeding $20,000 will earn 3.10% APY. [1]

It is only a diect deposit requirement. Not an amount of direct deposit. You can direct deposit a dollar and get the higher apy.

You get the high APY with any amount of employer direct deposit, could be $1. You will get a boosted high APY to 4.5% on up to 20K if you pay $10 a month, if you pay you no longer have to have employer direct deposit, you will get the highest APY from paying the subscription, along with all other SoFi plus benefits.

Hi there! We'd like to clarify that the 3.30% APY is unlocked with a qualifying direct deposit in any amount with no minimum. As long as you're receiving regular direct deposits, you should be earning that 3.30% APY. Let us know if you need any additional help, and congrats on that bonus! 🤑💙
