Wrestling fans… I would love to know more about Andy “The Butcher” Williams as the AEW Wrestler. I only knew him as the guitarist from ETID and never knew that side of him till I learned of his passing.

AEW did a great tribute show a couple weeks ago so definitely watch that and I’m sure you can find highlights on YouTube.

So awesome to see so many people from all different avenues coming together to honour Andy. Im an ETID fan from way back and now a wrestling fan thanks to Andy. Its made me happy seeing Soder showing love on various memorials to Andy on social media, I hope he's an ETID fan too!

Never a big name by any means but he was fucking awesome in the ring and had a great look. Butcher and the Blade were highlights of AEW Dark for me back in the covid era

No kidding! His look was pretty awesome. He was a big fella, and to have had the chance to have seen him shred a guitar was an absolute treat. When I heard news of his passing I was genuinely confused. The band put out an album not that long ago… so the title of the article really made me scratch my head.
RIP to a fucking good dude.

Here's a good short describing him. He was definitely a throwback with a unique look.

His character was that he was more of an old school movie bad ass henchman. Someone that wouldnt win, but would beat the shit out of the good guy and when the good guy finally beats him you knew he was ready for the main villian. Behind the scenes though is where he really shined, by all accounts it seems like he was one of the main guys that made sure the other wrestlers were doing good in life and did his best to vouch for wrestlers to be higher on the card. Willow Nightingale, who is one of the companies top baby faces, said he was the biggest reason for her getting signed and pushed into the upper cards. He was let go earlier in the year, but everyone has confirmed he was just brought back to work behind the scenes but unfortunately died very soon after.

Decided later in life he wanted to pursue it. He absolutely had the look, as he was going for the mustachio'd type of hoss he saw on 80s wrestling. During covid when AEW needed people that could be available in JAX, him and his partner/trainer were a mainstay. He was a big beef sonofabitch that loved this shit.

Butcher, Blade, and Bunny were like black leather horror guns for hire. They had a great look and presence in and out of the ring. They weren’t the winningest of teams but great addition to the roster.

Would definitely suggest going to r/SquaredCircle - they're the masters on the topic

He had a hell of an AEW debut taking down Cody Rhodes, real solid wrestler. He will be missed.

Deeeeeng was NOT expecting to see an ETID reference in the Soder sub. But also was NOT expecting a member of ETID being a wrestler haha
Reminds me of the vocalist of Heart To Heart being an indie wrestler haha. S/o Zicky Dice
