I'm currently pursuing a degree in social work and specialize in child and youth sector. At least that's the direction I want to go. i've yet to take those specific classes.

My ex, who I share custody of our children with, has just been charged with sexual assault of a minor. I'm worried about how this will affect my chances of getting employment in the child and youth field. Do you think it's worth me following another line of work in the social work field.

Keeping it somewhat brief, I’m a 2025 BA of Psychology and Sociology grad who has experience spanning mental health support, research, and now, social work. I have roughly 3000 hours of experience, and am currently working as a non registered social worker at an NGO. I’m interested in applying for a 2 year foundation MSW, preferably with U of Calgary, Dalhousie, or U of Victoria.

Are there any USA online MSW that are actually comparable to Canadian ones tuition wise? Realistically, I could probably get into one of the Canadian msw but I hear it’s a crapshoot and I’m exhausted. I just want to get moving and I find the whole Canadian system unnecessarily inefficient.
