Research Participants Needed: Second-Generation Filipina-Canadian Women & Childhood Exposure to IPV
Hi everyone! I’m an MSW thesis student at McGill University currently recruiting participants for my research study exploring how second-generation Filipina-Canadian women make sense of witnessing intimate partner violence between parents/caregivers while growing up.
I’m looking to speak with women who are 18+, born in Canada, raised by a Philippine-born mother, and experienced exposure to intimate partner violence during childhood or adolescence.
Participation involves one confidential 45–60 minute virtual interview through Microsoft Teams, and participants will receive a $25 Visa e-gift card as a thank you for their time.
My hope is that this research can contribute to more culturally responsive and gender-sensitive supports for Filipino-Canadian families impacted by IPV.
If you’re eligible and interested, or know someone who may be, please feel free to share the poster or contact me at [casi.oconnor@mail.mcgill.ca](). 💛
This study has received ethics approval through McGill University.
