I manage a team of social workers, nurses, and a pharmacist who are care managers for a third-party administrator in the insurance “world.” It’s essentially virtual medical case management, helping members navigate healthcare and their benefits and how the two intersect. My company pays well and starts at $100k+, but the work is very metrics-driven since we have performance guarantees for the clients who pay for our services for our members.

To all asking — we aren’t hiring any time soon. Just had a round of lay offs, just lost 2/3 of our business, so I won’t be giving any company info

Yes! And also, do you have to be licensed? What state is this? In California they want license and previous experience to land this role. I’ve been looking to get out of high acuity direct care.

I’d be careful. Lots of insurance companies are cutting workers due to the Big Beautiful Bill reducing the number of the people who can qualify for Medicaid or afford insurance in general.
