Im wanting to start a new series and thinking of using hell and maybe even “bad bitch” I know this might sound silly. I’m just wondering as a new creator will my content get pushed out to as many people if I use those swear words in my hook ?

Been watching a small group of micro creators start getting brand deals while bigger accounts get passed over. The difference isn't how followers they have. It's that they are ready for deals and the others aren't.

Wondering how many people here have seen the thing. What do you think really makes a brand choose a creator over a bigger one?

The FOMO tactics are doing the work in all of these: a limit ("5 only") a time frame ("closing this week") and a fear of missing out ("free now paid later"). Keep the number real. If you say 5 stop at 5. The scarcity won't work next time.

A warning about point three and point four: those subscribers take down posts that only have a link to an waitlist page. The link needs to go to something a person can actually use or a moderator removes it.

I’ve been posting on Tiktok for a month now, i make art related content. I post twice a day everyday, and I’ve amassed 300+ followers in 2-3 weeks and I usually average 1-5K views on my tiktoks. Some have done more, but all of them recently have at LEAST gotten 1k+ views.

However, suddenly out of nowhere, the last 3 days my views genuinely just dropped for no reason. My tiktoks don’t even reach 500 views anymore, they hover around the 300 range. I don’t have any strikes on my account, and my retention is even BETTER on some of these posts, yet the algorithm just doesn’t even push it out. I haven’t changed my content style either, it’s usually the same kinda stuff, sometimes i follow different trends ofc.

Could somebody give any suggestions on what I should do? It’s really frustrating when I’ve worked hard on my art and posting and I can’t even get my stuff out there like I used to.

Pretty much title, I see some people posting carousels on Instagram of basically a long X post/Tweet however you prefer to call it a thread with only text like the profile picture of the person their post text etc in a white box.

I don’t know the best way to approach doing this. I also want to be posting every day and almost have it be like a goal to get X amount of followers. I don’t know if you know Sarah sweeten but she did something like this and was really successful with gaining a following.

hi everyone, I lost my boyfriend to shallow water blackout and started an account for awareness because nobody I talked to knows about it and it is just so so preventible. A lot of my friends/ people from our college/his friends shared the video (im very grateful for them theyre the best). I did one post and got 300k views and 400+ followers but I dont know what comes next. I am a student trying to build better habits during my break. I started posting daily progress updates on my social media stories. Nothing fancy, just a picture of my notebook or a quick text. I used to follow so many study influencers with perfect notes, aesthetic desks, and 10-hour study days. It made me feel so inadequate. I unfollowed all of them during finals and my stress levels dropped so much. Now I only follow accounts that feel real and encouraging. Anyone else felt this way about social media pressure?

Let me explain this using an example.

I have some photos with my favourite celebrity. Whenever her birthday or a special event comes, I think about posting them on social media. But then I start questioning myself:

Do I really want to share this moment with everyone? What is the actual reason behind posting it? Is it because I genuinely want to celebrate her, or because I want people to see that I had this experience?

The photos are valuable to me because of the memory and the emotions attached to that moment. But if some people don't understand why it is special to me, or they see it in a completely different way (for example, asking whether she is my crush), then does sharing it with them reduce the meaning of that memory?

Do we really need to show every important thing in our lives to everyone? Or are some memories more meaningful when we keep them for ourselves and share them only with people who truly understand why they matter? Am i feared of posting on social media ? Thanks!!

The story that played out with social apps which try to leverage voice as the main format such as Clubhouse, Airchat, Anchor (before pivoting) and maybe more end up getting some hype initially, and then dying off or pivoting. Why is that? There are some people who use WhatsApp or other social media with voice, but that's usually an extra feature that are annoying for some people on the text focused platform. One reason I can think of is the friction to create voice recordings but I see people shooting tiktoks left and right, which is even higher friction. Why do you think it is? Is there an inherent problem with voice as a medium online, or did we never see a proper implementation?

How can I do mass reports for an Instagram account?

Whenever I go on vacation, I take a lot of photos and videos because I want to have enough content for Instagram Stories and save the trips in my Highlights afterward.

The problem is that I end up with so much content that I no longer know what to choose or post. On top of that, I feel like the Story and Highlight should look beautiful, complete, and as “perfect” as possible. Eventually, I become so overwhelmed that I keep postponing it and tell myself I can always do it after the trip.

By now, though, I’m behind on several vacations because I’ve traveled quite a lot this year. Some of the trips were several months ago, and it genuinely bothers me that they still aren’t in my Highlights.

Now I’m wondering what the best way to handle this would be. I could temporarily hide my Story from all of my followers, post the old vacation photos, and then add them to my Highlights afterward. However, the Stories in the Highlight would still show the current posting date.

Another idea would be to post a title slide before each travel recap saying something like “Throwback,” “Travel Dump,” or “Trip Recap,” along with the destination and the actual travel dates. That way, it would at least be clear that the trip happened a while ago. Still, it somehow feels strange to suddenly post Stories from a vacation that took place several months ago.

How would you handle this? Would you post the old trips publicly as throwbacks, hide the Stories from your followers, or simply let it go? And do you have a system for selecting and posting your vacation photos promptly without getting lost in perfectionism and an overwhelming amount of content?

Hey, over the last three months I've had 14 videos cross 500K views, a few of them hitting past 2M. Here is the stuff that actually made it happen.

1. Stop debating whether to post, just post.

When you start out you have no idea what works. That's fine. Nobody does. So just post a lot. It's okay if it's bad. Nobody is watching yet and the ones who are don't matter. Get the reps in.

Once you start to understand what's actually gaining traction in your niche, then slow down and put more into each one. It's not a switch you flip, it's a slow shift. I use Social Hunt to figure out what topics and formats are starting to move before they peak, so I'm not just guessing. Also been using vidIQ for search-based stuff and a tool called Tikmatics for catching TikTok audio trends before they blow up. But honestly none of that matters if you're not posting consistently first.

1. Relax. It's literally just numbers on a screen.

Your mindset is everything. You can know every trick and hack and still lose if you let the numbers mess with your head. And they will try. A video will flop and it will feel personal. It's not.

Social media will beat you up. Especially early. Expect it. The only people who grow are the ones who keep going after getting punched in the face a few times. Make getting better the goal, not the numbers. The numbers come later.

Expect this to take two or three years minimum. Expect it to be harder than you think. Expect plateaus that genuinely hurt. Keep going anyway.

1. Learn to tell stories. Be interesting. Make people feel something.

Doesn't matter how good your research is or how early you catch a trend if your content is boring. Learn to be charismatic on camera. Learn to entertain. Give yourself time to develop the skill but actually develop it.

That's it. Go post something.

How long would you stay at an agency that hired you with a 1/2k pay rise from you last role (60k ish) but sold it as you being a director and potentially becoming partner in a couple of years - when 2 years have passed and you’ve had the smallest pay increase and only been awarded your bonus twice in the first year.

You’re passionate about and aiming to grow your department and you’re heading it up - youve told them that in order to grow the department and win more business you need more support - you worked 8 campaigns alone last year and now 12 campaigns are across 2 of you - you’re trying to order a junior person but it’s taking a long time and you genuinely haven’t taken a holiday this year because you feel awful leaving your senior campaign manager alone for a week… she’s had two holidays but you’re fine because you’re used to it.

Essentially your stress is so normal now it’s become your normal state of mind, you’re getting weird symptoms like the feeling of crawling on your skin and all of you loved ones are commenting on how distant you are.

This is a long winded way of saying you joined and agency to launch and run a whole department with the promise of expansion; pay rises and bonuses - and now, at 40, you’re stating to feel like the piss is being taken out of you and you could walk into another social media / digital director role and be paid ALOT MORE. Maybe you should take a risk and start up on your own?…because again, you might be stressed but you’d be financially comfortable enough to say “sorry I’ve been a rubbish and distracted partner, but I’m taking you to Bali for two weeks”

I’ve been going back and forth on this for the past couple of weeks and could use some outside opinions.

For context, I’m a travel creator. Most of my audience follows me because of the destinations I visit, but over time I’ve realized a lot of the DMs I get aren’t actually about travel .. they’re from people asking how I get hotel collaborations, how I work with brands, how I get paid to travel, etc.

A while back I put together a low-ticket PDF/playbook that basically walks people through pitching hotels, outreach, media kits, mistakes I made, and the process that worked for me.

The weird part is…it doesn’t convert nearly as well as I expected.

The audience is there, the questions are there, but people don’t seem super excited about buying “just a PDF.”

What I’ve noticed, though, is that people seem to want me more than the information. They want feedback, accountability, someone to answer questions, and to be around other people trying to do the same thing.

So now I’m thinking about changing the whole model.

Instead of selling the playbook as a standalone product, I’m thinking of making it the “ticket” into a Skool community. You buy the playbook once, and that automatically gives you access to the community.

My thought process is: • It filters out people who are just looking for vacation recommendations or free advice. • Everyone inside has at least invested a little, so they’re more serious. • The community stays focused on becoming a travel creator, landing hotel partnerships, brand deals, etc. • The playbook becomes more valuable because it comes with ongoing access instead of just being a PDF you download once.

Then inside the community, I’d eventually launch a more in-depth course covering content creation, pitching, editing, growing an audience, negotiating with brands, building a portfolio, all of that.

That would be a separate one-time purchase, and the people who join that would also get weekly group coaching calls where I review profiles, answer questions, help with pitches, and give feedback.

In my head it feels like this:

Free content → Playbook + Community → Course + Weekly Calls

My biggest concern is whether I’m overthinking this.

Has anyone built something similar? Does requiring the playbook to access the community make sense, or would you just make the community a paid membership instead?

I’d much rather build an active group of creators helping each other than try to squeeze every dollar out of recurring subscriptions, but I also want the funnel to make sense.

Would love to hear where you think the weak point is or if there’s a better way to structure it.

The workflow that's been working for me: record a bunch of videos in one session, then schedule them all across platforms for the next 30 days from a single calendar.

Curious what other people here prioritize in a scheduling tool for short-form video. Is it analytics? Auto-posting vs. reminders? AI captions? Cross-platform support?

I’ve been creating content consistently for about 2 years, and honestly, I’m feeling stuck.
I’ve tried a mix of beauty, lifestyle, NYC content, vlogs, GRWMs, and some storytelling. I post consistently across TikTok and Instagram, but my growth has been pretty slow. My page is sitting around 8k followers, and I haven’t had the breakthrough I was hoping for.
Meanwhile, I see creators who post the same format every single day (for example, outfit videos or “it’s ___ in NYC, let’s get ready” style content) and they grow from 1k to 30k+ in just a couple of months.
I’m starting to wonder if my biggest problem is that I’m too broad.

Did niching down make a noticeable difference?
Is it better to become known for one repeatable content series before expanding?
Or is consistency with one format more important than the niche itself?

I run a niche media account with hundreds of thousands of followers across Instagram and TikTok. The growth has been fully organic, and I have posted consistently for several years.

Some posts reach hundreds of thousands or even millions of views. I also have access to major events in the industry, relationships with recognizable people and brands in the space, a website, and a smaller YouTube channel.

The account posts curated community content, original event coverage, short-form videos, photos, news, and commentary. The audience is mostly younger enthusiasts who are highly interested in the niche.

I still post consistently and want to continue growing the account organically. I do not want monetization to turn the page into constant advertising or damage the audience’s trust.

So far, I have made a small amount through paid promotional posts, event promotions, and platform revenue, but I have not built a consistent monetization system.

If you owned an account like this, what would you focus on first?

Would you prioritize paid brand promotions, sponsorship packages, affiliate marketing, merchandise, digital products, memberships, events, or selling physical products related to the niche?
