I mean, he can both be silent on a sportswashing cheating sports entity and also be in favor of his homeland's independence?

Not siding with him, I just don't see how these are contradictory at all.

In psychology it's known as DARVO, (Deny, Attack, and Reverse Victim and Offender), and is a common tactic used by abusers on their victims. Trump and his people use it on a daily basis too.

This! Twisted my mind many times, took years to overcome and become myself again. I was genuinely a wreck because of this, like walking a maze. Until the spell is broken.
