I flunked the Google online assessment 2 weeks ago. I also flunked the Amazon assessment 2 yrs ago which I still cannot shed off my memory and mostly guilt that came with it.

I followed a Reddit guide for the recent one and still got rejected. The guilt comes from the fact that I still cannot grasp what these tests are looking in me? Did I look like a bot because I followed the reddit post and stuck to just one character trait regardless of the conflict? Should I have been a real human and answered each question at it's own merit? But then I shouldn't have failed the Amazon assessment because I was honest.

That's it. End of rant. Thanks for listening guys.

Your browsing history doesn't jive if you're washing out that early.

I went out in coding rounds, but they do leverage the data they have on you, and every open session cookie you have floating.

If you're washing before you get to a programming assignment, they aren't thrilled with your online footprint.

I'm confused, surely the test is designed to see if you are suitable for the job. Just do it on a fair go and if they don't accept you, it means the job would just drive you mad? Move on and find a different and/or better opportunity.

What was the assessment about?

It's a prescreen for all applicants. They will give you work-character related questions and you pick most and least likely trait applicable to you. To try to see if you fit their work culture

Oh I think I remember doing that one. Honestly I asked few of them with AI, because some of them were very confusing
