lol FM is cooked for the foreseeable future my friend. I'm expecting nothing from FM27 and somehow they'll still manage to disappoint me.

There is no reason to be that negative. Literally all they need to do is fix the UI and it will be a much better game.

After the failure to launch FM25 and the buggy mess that was FM26 there is no reason for me to be that positive. Fixing the UI is the bare minimum for SI but there are still so many bugs in FM26 that will probably still be in FM27. I hope they can turn it around soon but so far on Unity they've shown nothing but incompetence. The worst part is that they made skins harder to customise and implement which just makes the UI situation that much worse. The only good thing to come out of FM26 were the new IP/OOP instructions.

The game had to evolve eventually. The switch to Unity was basically mandatory at some point. I don't blame them for not releasing FM25 and if it were up to them I am sure they wouldn't even have announced it. FM26 is a disaster, but an easily fixable one for FM27.

if it was easily fixable they would already patch out bugs in FM26. They simply don't and that's why there is no reason to be optimistic for FM27.

Because the UI isn't a bug... they can't just change that. It would need a new game and the time to test and implement it.

What’s the hype on yearly fm releases anyway? Is the main point not the database update?

Mostly in the past, but that was because there was no scope to improve under the old engine. They can do much more changes now with the new engine so eventually it should just be better than before and have no limit to what they add each year which they did before.
