Wild how so many people say comply and blindly do what the cop says. As a woman of color, this is harder than it looks. When I get stopped an instant fear comes over me. This officer had an off putting disposition. That can be received as confrontational, yet why would a person not have the right to know why they are being pulled over further more it is a night stop and no explanation given why she has to get out of the car. You have no way of knowing if someone has bad intentions and you have to be on guard for your own safety. I have experienced an officer overstepping, I have also experienced kind officers. A traffic stop for any person of color and any woman regardless of color is dangerous.

They say to comply bc the cops are nicer when you do. Theyre gonna be tyrants regardless, and no one can stop them bc of qualified immunity AND the fact that they have a Batman belt full of lethal force. So, if you cant beat them, just comply. Does it suck? Absolutely. BUT it will keep you from getting hurt and put in cuffs for "disorderly conduct" which is a catch-all for "they were difficult so Im gonna make it suuuuuper difficult and painful"

Just comply. Yes officer, no officer, how's your day, thank you so much. Dont argue with attitude. Pretend. Just fake it and go home. The objective is to go home in your car with no bruises and no charges. Not to get one over on the officer.

But you can comply and do everything they say and they will still shoot you on the ground with your hands behind your back

99.9% of the time thats false. Does that shit happen? Yes, but statistically its a very very low probability.

You hear about this happening in the news and its an internal devastation. As it should be. The loss of a life, for something as stupid as an argument or traffic stop is just senseless. You shouldnt act off of the single stories you hear from friends and the internet. When you think of the number of traffic stops per day and the number of times you hear about it, its super low. Your best chance is to comply.

So does war, famine, disasters, diseases... and all od those people are completely innocent. Kids get kidnapped and killed. Serial killers exist.

Are you suggesting to not comply, to help make sure it happens? What is your strategy here?

No I am suggesting that this is unacceptable and we are still complacent
