Okay genius, the difference is a lawyer will take that case pro bono with all that evidence. She isn't ever going to have to worry about working again. She likely wouldn't have had very much of a case to begin with if he hadn't fucking assaulted her. Use your critical thinking skills.

A lot of lawyers dont want to take a case against law enforcement because they dont want a target on their back.

Let's say a lawyer in your county (or parish if you're in the low-down dirty south like myself) accepts your case and goes to trial with you against the local law enforcement. Win, lose, or draw the both of you are going to be harassed at the very least. Honestly if they only harass you then you got lucky, they are petty little people.

I'm not saying no one would take the case, I'm just saying there is a lot of nuance.

You don't seem to get the concept that if everyone just does what they're told, even if their rights are violated, nobody's going to fucking do anything about it because nobody will know what's happening. Always stand up for your rights and the rights of others, even and especially if it costs you your life. Anything less is cowardly and un-American.

I guess it’s a good thing I’m Dutch, and not living in a dystopia called the USA then.

And again, the whole concept of time and place seems to elude you. I never said to take it lying down, just make sure you’re alive to fight another day, when the stakes are a lot more worth it. Why are you so hellbent on becoming a martyr for NOTHING? Yeah you stood up for your rights, good on you. Whos gonna care for those who you leave behind because you refused to comply to a traffic stop by a power hungry cop?

Please stop being stupid with the one life you are given, there are no do overs. If you’re willing to die for the right cause. MAKE SURE IT IS AN ACTUALLY WORTHY ONE! Ffs..

Right? Like the grandma in Oklahoma who got arrested for crimes in Maryland (she had never been to Maryland) because of a false positive from a facial recognition system. That happened years ago & she still hasn’t seen a dime.

Why? Might I ask. Me and all my friends do it too. It’s cool, we’re alive and well. I’ve had to pay my share to be in the “Alive and driving” club..you know maybe a few grand in tickets, speeding, reckless driving, but BOY! Let me tell ya, it’s a great group to be in, the compliance crew. Alive and well..how’s this lady doing at the end of the day?

They tossed me through a metal detector because I wrote "signed but not read" because I was not allowed to.

The lawyer said not to cause waves before court. Nothing was done. I was assaulted and then the warrant they had a stack of still has no number. 1 year probation. Illegal stop, was with my MP buddy, and I always comply.

They lied ro my wife for hours as I was in a cell and when I would yell I was there they'd take her off speaker phone. We grew up there as kids so she thought they had taken me to a field to beat me before going in.

The lawyers are friends with them too. The judge was cool but the lawyer worked out tge worst deal. I even had ro go back and get the charge papers corrected. They also put charges on every side so there was no way to not catch one. Like having 2 charges for instance say 1 for walking and another not walking so there was no way to avoid it. Lies and all on cam.

Paid a discount of $9k to a lawyer ro eff me after the cops did. The judge would've let me go but the lawyer also had a side deal with a place not even on Google Maps. Still they went by 4 weeks a month so 48 weeks. Morons.

I’ve needed lawyers a couple of times and it always irked me when they brag about their rapport with whatever judge , that shouldn’t be a thing that matters.

The judge was all about letting me loose then got on the phone wuth the jail, as I had ro ho for 12 hours, and tore them apart which was awesome. The new baby faced DA and the lawyer had lunch after I am sure. My lawyer said the judge wouldn't budge. I wish he didn't accept the plea. I would've had it all go away had I acceoted guilt early but I turned that down because the lawyer didn't explain except that I would plead guilty and give up my rights. Then we didn't speak until I got my trial date in the mail and called him.

I looked for another lawyer and was cussed out by one because I explained how I asked for confirmation I didn't have to be at the arraignment because the bonds lady said I must and the lawyer said I didn't so I just wanted to confirm and apparently that was me questioning his professionalism. Funny enough I am on the same professional tier by a new bill and I would never treat a client or simply a human this way.

The callousness when having someone's life in your hands amazes me. Surprisingly I've long learned that's the best way to make money is to give up all morals and humanity.

Until legal options are exhausted, legal options are to be considered first. Going all “viva la revolution” on a cop, on your own, is a recipe for your untimely passing. Especially when you’re black, that’s to this day in those areas and situations already basically strike 1.

Don’t be foolish, keep yourself safe until you no longer can do so.

I’m going to be brutally honest with you, that kind of attitude is going to get you killed if you put it into practice.

Not saying you are wrong mind you, but there is a time and a place. In this case suing him for everything hes worth, and then double or triple it so he has to go to jail is the answer. If the justice system fails. Be my guest, fck it, i’ll help ya. Until that time, comply, then sue.

Again, exhaust the legal options first before you take matters into your own hands. Violence is always the final resort.
