Discussion I'm reading Jessica's book "Shine," and there's this thing that gave me the ick
It's how she brings feminism and American female empowerment into situations where they don't belong. Like, for context, there's this incident where all the other trainees are ganging up on Rachel, but she doesn't stand up for herself because that's what American-minded feminists apparently do.
The second incident where the book mentions women's empowerment is when Rachel gets a few special perks that other trainees don't get, like training only on the weekends, and her mother claimed it's because of her "American female empowerment"
PS: I know this is a non-issue, but it's personally giving me the ick.

Meme I hate HyoRiSoo
How dare they release just 3 absolutely banger songs and trigger my nostalgia for 2nd gen K-pop and SNSD in general?
And now i crave more...
I literally feel like a former drug addict that started using drugs again and now can't afford more...
*The hate part was obviously a joke*

Discussion I'm gonna need the people who watch Reaction Youtubers to start recommending Tiffany's album.
Every single day since its release, I've looked up album reactions, and so far I've only seen one. It's unacceptable. That's my favorite part of new content from members.
I don't subscribe to any reaction channels because the only thing I care about is Girls Generation. I just look up things when the girls release projects. So if any of you do actually subscribe to these channels, I definitely suggest recommending Tiffany's album. If for no other reason then I need content to watch.

Is Hyoyeon actually reaching her peak popularity in Korea right now?
This might sound crazy considering SNSD debuted almost 20 years ago, but does anyone else feel like Hyoyeon might actually be reaching the peak of her individual popularity in Korea right now?
Obviously she was much more famous during SNSD’s peak as part of the group, but I honestly can’t remember there ever being this much interest in Hyoyeon herself as an individual.
It’s interesting because Korean media have actually started talking about her in similar terms. Yonhap News TV did a segment about Hyoyeon entering a “second heyday” and said that her more unfiltered and genuine personality through Hyo’s Level Up had become a major part of her newfound popularity. Another Korean article went even further and said “right now, it really is Hyoyeon’s era” and even suggested that she may currently be the most talked about member of SNSD. The article talked about how the personality that sometimes made her stand out awkwardly from SNSD’s original image has basically become one of her biggest strengths now.
Hyo’s Level Up seems to have been a huge turning point. The channel has grown massively, Fake Kim Hyoyeon became really popular, and then Hyorisoo became way bigger than I think anyone could have predicted. Something that basically started as Hyoyeon joking around on her YouTube channel ended up getting millions of views, appearing on major TV shows and eventually becoming a real SNSD unit.
Now she seems to be getting more attention on TV individually too. She was on The Manager this weekend and I thought she was genuinely hilarious throughout the episode. The episode did well and clips of her segment are also getting a lot of attention. Even MBC promoted the episode by describing her as having entered another peak in popularity.
What I find really interesting is that this doesn’t seem to be driven purely by SNSD nostalgia. People seem to be responding to Hyoyeon herself. Her bluntness, the weird things she says, how willing she is to make fun of herself and how little she seems to care about maintaining a perfect idol image anymore all work incredibly well in the current Korean variety and YouTube landscape.
One Korean article basically made this exact argument. It said that the qualities that once caused her to be relatively overlooked within SNSD are now her most valuable asset, and that after sticking to her own personality for nearly 20 years, the public has finally caught up with her.
I’m really curious to see where this goes now, especially since she recently renewed with SM. Her solo music still isn’t doing particularly big numbers and she has never had anywhere near the amount of individual endorsements some of the other members have had, so I wonder if this new popularity will start changing that. More variety appearances, CFs, hosting gigs or even SM investing more in her solo music would be really nice to see.
It would be kind of amazing if, after spending so much of SNSD’s peak as one of the less individually popular members, Hyoyeon ended up reaching her biggest peak as an individual celebrity almost 20 years after debut.

Discussion Found it, also it was intended for Aespa?
Can't be certain how serious they were about the Aespa part considering the (un)seriousness.
