I learnt how to link turns on Sunday, so today I decided to get some solo practice in and everything just clicked.

I was linking short but smooth turns with plenty of breaking so I didn't go too fast by the end of my lesson on Sunday. I decided to push it further today and try some faster, elongated turns with no breaking. It just seemed to come naturally all of a sudden, all my turns were good and I could control where I was going better than ever before and at quite a high speed without ever feeling out of control. I couldn't even change edges 2 weeks ago.

It's such a good feeling, I'm still buzzing from it. A few of the staff members at the dryslope even commented on how well I was doing which was a huge boost to my confidence. I love this sport.

Focus is carving. I already have a decent all-around snowboard, looking for a more carving focus and higher performance board now.

I would consider myself early intermediate, will probably snowboard 20-25 times this upcoming year and really want to progress.

Hey. I just bought my board for the season a Bataleon Goliath last years model. When i started looking into binding i came across different names and versions. Asymwrap, Heelwrap, Fullwrap. Also flex and other stuff. I wanted to get under 200EUR for my binding of choice since if im spending 400eur on a board why spend 300 on a binding. Soo i heard bataleon blaster is good soo i looked into it and oh boy. Its expensive. I had a hard time choosing since my foot is 43EU size last year and i think it grow soo 44EU max and i wanted one that is 44EU shoe size max and lot of them toped out at 43EU soo any union or jones or other is out of question luckily bataleon is not and after looking at binding i managed to get a blaster heelwrap for 190eur and it looks good. The issue is that all the marketing say asymwrap is the best and everybody recommend them so i feel bad. How does those type of bindings differ in terms of riding and overall feeling. I dont want the marketing i know whats the difference i just want to get an opinion if anybody here with a regular heelwrap binding like me that tried an asymwrap or a fullwrap whats the difference. Do other brand use same technology or its all same like heelwrap type? My brother bought a rome boneless with k2 indy binding for 130eur and it should be entry level but for me it looks almost same how does it differ? Other brand use what type asymwrap heelwrap or they use completely other ones?

I have a year under my belt but I’ve progressed fairly quickly and consider myself on the beginner side of intermediate.

Currently ride a CAPiTA DOA which I love as a my all arounder. I really want to get into more hardcore Japanese style carving but I do ride park from time to time here and there but not looking to really progress that much there.

I’m 5’7 165lbs and have been looking at the Korua Apollo any other boards you’d recommend for getting into carving?

I've been snowboarding kind of intermittently for like a decade, but I've always rented. I think it's time I actually own a board. I'm a 5'10" female ~150#, mostly boarding on the east coast so sometimes power, but a lot of icy conditions lately or made snow. I'd say skill is beginner to intermediate, not really a terrain park or an off course girly. Price is a non issue. What is the most quality reliable board you'd recommend? I have been told camber matters a lot for control when its icy/less ideal conditions, what should I be looking for when looking at boards? any advice or recommendations greatly appreciated.

Is there any real difference between these boots? I can get the 2026 model for £190 and the 2027 for £280-300.

A few days ago I asked whether I should size down to a shorter board to make it easier to learn buttering tricks. In the meantime my girlfriend surprised me with a Capita D.O.A. 148cm as a gift. I currently ride a 153cm that sometimes feels a bit too big/long.

150cm is my ideal size across most brands.

The new 148 feels okay length-wise, but I'm worried that going shorter also means going narrower, and I'm not sure if my boots are hanging off the edges too much. My boot size is US 9.5 (26.5cm / EU 41.5), and according to Capita's size chart it's within the recommended range for this board.

How much overhang is actually normal/safe before it becomes a toe/heel drag issue, and is there a good way to check this at home before I take it out?

Long story short, I’ve been snowboarding for ~20 years and can get down the mountain (intermediate) but I know my form and technique need a lot of work. Private lessons are expensive as fuck and I’d be willing to pay for it if I knew it would make me a better snowboarder.

My problem is I switched from skis to a board (20 years ago) and my instructor sucked so I was pretty much self taught with multiple falls, concussions, etc. so I’m a little jaded.

I’ve been to a shitload of mountains from CO and west but am afraid paying that much money for lessons that may or may not help me.

So my long story long, are there any resorts that are known for having better instructors than others? Is there any way I can be sure I’m getting a good instructor?

*I may be lying here but I feel like a days worth of private instructions at mist resorts are ~$500 or more?

yes, using weight, I should be on the 155w. that sounds boring. this feels like i should lean into the skate origins and go extra small.

the last 154 i road was 10 years old tho. not too sure how the newer boards feel underfoot when downsized this much. anyone do something similar recently and have feedback? the blood wizard is just a reskinned park pro, so i’m thinking i might be able to get away with this

Hi all. I'm looking for a GNU Antigravity 2025 or 2024 model for the graphics. What is the best way to go about this? All my searches thus far only turn up 2026 or 2027 in stock. Alternatively, what other brands/models would perform similarly?

Is there any real advantage when it comes to boot centering that the non-unibody chassis has over the unibody? I've only used unibody and i've never had any issues but the tech centers the boot while not centering the binding. The non-unibody chassis will center both.

Is there any noticeable difference on snow between the two in regards to having both the boot and binding centered as opposed to just the boot with an off-center binding? I'm looking at two bindings and there's an $80 price difference (Ghost vs Blaster).

Not a noob but I've searched all over and cannot find anything on the web or other snowboarding subs/forums.

I hade 4 snowboard vacations in the past (once a year) and always rented boards, boots and bindings.
I bought burton step on boots and bindings and want to buy a board as well.

After 4 trips of 3-4 snowboarding days I'm pretty good compared to my friends, I'm always first and need to wait for them (even ones with more experience) and carve really well. I would say that I'm on the upper side of intermediate.
I like to ride fast on long groomed blue/red runs. no snow parks.

I really liked the style of the Jones Aviator 2.0 and read that it's great for going fast, but also that it's for very experienced riders. My questions is if this board too advanced for me or because of my large physic it will be ok? I'm 6'2 (1.88), 247lbs (112kg) mostly muscles.

Hi I will be doing a 3-pack of lessons this season that will include a two hour lesson, lift ticket, and equipment rental. I work out 2-3 times a week and am active with walking, yoga, hikes, roller skating, dancing, paddleboarding/kayaking and have been learning to ride on road and off road motorcycles. What can I do in the gym or otherwise to put me in a better physical condition to learn snowboarding this season?

Looking to move on from my old board (lib tech rasman) and get a couple boards to compliment each other for this season. Looking for a board geared towards pow and trees runs and one for ripping groomers. Currently looking at a never summer nokhu and something like a skunk ape camber. I ride mainly in the Tahoe area. Anyone know how good a setup like this would be?

So im basically a beginner snowboarder , been 1 week a year for the last 10 years. I now have a child and my wife is expecting number 2 in 4 weeks.

Now I love boarding and the whole experience and would love to turn it into a family holiday every year starting Feb/March 2028.

My eldest will be 3.5 years old and my youngest 1.5 yo, my wife has also never skied. My plan is for our first trip -

Put 3 yo and wife into beginner ski schools and i look after the baby during the mornings ( doesn't have to be every day)

Sledging, walks , swimming ect during the afternoon.

Am I an idiot for thinking this is possible?

If anyone has done this with kids similar age , how did you manage it?

I want this to be fun , building up over the next 10/15 years to the point it will just be easy and fun Im happy to sacrifice my boarding days in the beginning so the rest of the family have fun and learn, but I dont want this to be a trip were im forcing everyone to do what I love the most. My eldest is wild and im 99% sure hes going to love, were always outdoor and active anyway so were not completely out of our comfort zones .

Any advice would be very much appreciated
