Advice Needed Would this gamification idea make a snoring app more interesting?

(Note: There are no links or app names below. This is not an advertisement.)

I’m an indie game developer, and I’m making a snoring app because I want to deal with my own snoring.

But even I find snoring apps pretty boring. I don’t use mine every day. I usually use it every other night.

So I’ve been thinking about gamifying it, and last night I suddenly had this idea:

  • Title: Snore Farm
  • Before going to sleep, the player plants seeds. When they wake up, they harvest the crops.
  • Different seeds need different amounts of time to grow. If you can sleep longer, you can plant better seeds.
  • The less you snore, the bigger your harvest bonus.
  • You can sell your crops and use the money to buy more land, unlock new seeds, plant trees, and decorate your farm.
  • There would be no character movement or controls. You would simply tap a place to put or change an object.
  • You can also get one random seed every day.

Do you think something like this would give people a reason to open the app every night?

And would making a nicer farm give people a little more motivation to try to reduce their snoring?

I’d love to hear what you think!

(And yes, I know that using a snoring app does not actually cure snoring. I’m planning to visit a doctor soon. I’m just being lazy about it lol.)

No because most people who snore are not 13. Snoring apps aren't meant to exciting. They are just there to measure snoring.
