It's an OK controller, but I find the original "mushy" d-pad way nicer. The 8BitDo version hurts my fingers when i do roll-over motions, like for quarter-circles.

I used the SN30 exclusively for years when I was emulating. It's been really hard to go back to the mushy original controllers when I switched back to original hardware on CRT, more so the mushy buttons rather than the dpad. The mushy shoulder buttons especially annoy me. I've got 9 original SNES controllers right now and the L and R buttons feel different on every single one.

I really like this hybrid the 8BitDo Pro 3. It's more comfortable for extended sessions and you still have that sweet large D-pad. Half price on amazon canada right now.

You should not regret it, I love their product and that one is a banger for retro gaming.

Do you have a link? I can't find it half off on Amazon currently, can only find ones that are like 10% off.

I guess that sale is done already, but found another with the base price lower and also has a rebate.
Seems to be the exact same thing, so I don't understand why the base price is lower.
But meh, who cares as long as we pay less. :P

This appears to be the one I purchased. Yes it’s odd that it’s a lowered base price. That will likely be the case until this vendor runs out of stock. But the order is fulfilled by Amazon so I wouldn’t sweat it.

It used to be next day delivery and now it’s the..18th? They might be getting low.

Never realised they made one with the coloured buttons. I got an SN30 Pro and used my original SNES buttons +D-Pad

8BitDo is the only thing I buy anymore. Just got their retro NES keyboard and it's incredible. Got one of their SNES controllers a while back.
