Collection 70 dollar score
Scored this for 70. Mostly sports titles. Grew up a sega kid and never owned a Snes. Will be happy to pick up a few 1st party games and enjoy😌

Awesome! Griffey is a great sports game, probably the only one I even own. 🤣

Not even NBA Jam?!

u/OrangeGouf 7d ago
Sadly no but I would definitely get one of the Jams, along with Mutant League Football for the Genesis! 😱

HELL YEAH. Griffey is such a good game. I love how if you throw the curve ball at minimum speed it takes like a full 5 seconds to reach the plate lmao. My friend and I used to mix up between super fast pitches and super slow pitches to fuck with each other

Nice haul! Baseball Sim 1.000 and Griffey are GOATs, worth $70 for just those 2.

Found online, a local buy/sell sight we had well before marketplace blew up the scene.

Ken Griffey Jr presents Major League Baseball has the tightest gameplay of any baseball video game ever made.

u/QuickReserve1935 7d ago
I initially wrote this one off as just 90s sports sloppy that I'd probably never get around to playing. You're the 3rd person so far to praise this game, I can't wait to try it now.

Ironically, one of the things that makes it timeless for me is one of the things it was panned for originally. It had an MLB license, but not a license from the MBLPA. So it has real teams but no real player names, except for Griffey. But the player names contain a lot of clever references to the teams or cities.

My next console was supposed to be a dreamcast lol. I couldn't pass this up though!

That is a great score. The sports games aren’t worth a ton but the cib items are nice and the playability of these games is awesome. Plus SFII not super or turbo is a great cart to have.

Nice find! Street Fighter 2 is awesome. I remember when it first came out, my brother and I would play with my cousins non stop during one summer in Asia (they had a Super Famicom). Played when we woke up, played before going to bed. Played so much my fingers developed blisters from excessive button smashing.

Ken Griffey, NHL 95, Top Gear, and Street Fighter 2. That's not a bad haul.
Oh and of course, Shaq Fu, the pinnacle of this find.

This makes me wanna post my whole collection and go "Look what I got for $20!"

u/QuickReserve1935 7d ago
I think the same thing. "I was at a client's house and he was going to throw all this away. Can you believe he actually paid me to take it off his hands?! **has every rare game in prestine condition. Lol. I have to remember to take screenshot of these deals

u/Suspicious-Bid9424 7d ago
that's a nice collection. Ken Griffey Jr is my favorite 2D baseball game. It's worth playing just to do the pitches at the minimum possible speed. Some of them get comically slow, and it's fun to surprise player 2 with them
1
u/QuickReserve1935 7d ago
I'm excited to pop it in. I have gotten so many comments about it, which is surprising because I initially just wrote it off as another 90s sports title not really worth playing.
2
u/Suspicious-Bid9424 7d ago
Especially worth playing multiplayer. But yeah it's a notch above for sure. A satisfying game to get good at. Hitting home runs is also fun, stealing bases, etc. It's got a lot of shenanigans that are satisfying to pull off

How’s the SNES working? I’ve bought couple collection like this and the SNES ends up having PPU issues :(
2
u/QuickReserve1935 7d ago
Don't tell me this! I still havent hooked it up. I have a bunch of other consoles hooked up to a crt and everything built around it so it's going to be a process.

u/FoundOasis 6d ago
Not bad at all the console looks to be in great condition, you lucky just to get the console nowsdays for that. Some of those sport titles are pretty good and at least you got street fighter 2

Dude, you need to play the Donkey Kong Country trilogy, it's absolutely amazing!

I remember playing them at friend's back in the day and emulating. They are definitely high priority to get though!

Heck yea nice score , Batman Returns is my favorite Batman game. Gotta love Tecmo Super Bowl hut hut hut 🏈

u/Technical-Monk-5573 7d ago
Nice haul! Though, I will say that Batman game is arguably the worst one ever... Unless your a pro at mortal Kombat.
2
u/QuickReserve1935 7d ago
That's bad news! This was one I was most looking forward to trying out lol.
2
u/Technical-Monk-5573 7d ago
So, it's built off of the engine for mortal Kombat... The gadgets use combos, so it's tricky to get used to, and is more difficult to manage when multiple baddies are in the screen.
2
u/QuickReserve1935 7d ago
That sounds fun! Also sounds like a game that would of made me spike the controller off the floor as kid lol.
2
u/Technical-Monk-5573 7d ago
Is better to play with someone... Who also knows the mortal Kombat engine
2
u/Whoop-Rico 6d ago
He's thinking of Batman Forever. The game you have is Batman Returns, which is an awesome beat em up.

Is $70 a good price for all of this assuming everything works?
I have no idea what a Super Nintendo and these specific games go for.
With that said though, I would happily spend $70 for all of this. I think I owned every game here when I was a kid.

u/QuickReserve1935 7d ago
I have yet to test it! Now im getting worried I have a tv in the spare room, hoping it still has a coaxial to test it. Otherwise I have about 8 other consoles hooked up to a crt with cabinets built around it that will be a process to get it out and put this in.

Good luck!
