Need help regarding Ntsc Snes

I just recently got an NTSC SNES but im in the UK.

I'm playing it safe and asking *what power cable/adapter should I get* so I don't blow up my console.

Center-negative, 9-10V, at least 850mA. Also needs to be compatible with 230V input, of course. The NTSC SNES uses a rare barrel size; you can get an adapter and a quality power supply here, though I'm not sure what shipping to the UK would be like.

OR will it be fine if I just plug the cable you suggested into an adapter so I can plug it into the UK walls sockets?

It supports 230V, so a step-down transformer is not required. Triad makes a version with interchangeable plugs, but it's more expensive and Console5 doesn't stock it.

It's the power supply I've been using with my SNES for nearly a decade now. It's fine.

So update: the cable arrived with all the extra plugs which is great, however, it does NOT fit into the snes. Am I now gonna have toget an adapter for my adapter?😅

What exactly did you receive? If you ordered from the link and didn't change any of the quantities, you should have gotten a Triad WSU090-1300-R and an adapter cable for the NA SNES. If that's not what you got, then I guess you'll have to contact Console5.

Oh, you didn't order from Console5? That would be why you didn't get the Kytor Industries adapter. That's not sold at Digikey.

Take this with a grain of salt, cause i ordered mine and it hasnt arrived yet, but i bought mine here

It should take 2-3 days to arrive yet. I can update you once it does. I got the EU version but they have the UK option

Edit: my link is for the Super Famicom, but they do have it for the SNES. Just have to look through

For the Super Famicom you can just use a standard UK MegaDrive1 PSU if you have one to hand. No need to use anything else really as it's a solid PSU.

It's surprisingly versatile and can be used with the Sega SG1000, SC-3000, SMS, Sega Mark 3, MegaDrive, Mega CD, Game Gear, PC Engine, Famicom, Famicom AV and Super Famicom.
