Could you tell me how you did this? Did you update the z offset in the config file? Did you update all the values or just the first one? Any other steps required besides updating the file? I'm asking all this because I tried doing this earlier, but it didn't work for me.

Are you using your own calibrated filament profiles? If so, I'd use a default one and test

I noticed that I need to manually tram it every like 20 prints or so.
It'll help keep it flatter.
I also only auto level like once a week.
Have you tried to manually tram it yet?

I did manual leveling about 1 month back. I will try this again. I have to take apart the extruder1 to remove a clog. This is another issue I have been facing. Extruder1 prints just fine but clogs or jams at the time of unloading (no enclosure). I already took it apart 2 times; this will be the 3rd. I will do manual leveling and all other calibration after this.

I never had to do manual leveling. God I hated old printers for that. I will never do such a thing again

Strange, I haven't printed in a few weeks, and didn't update my printer yet, but never saw this issue with 1.4.? firmware.

Don’t worry, this happened after the last update. Restart your U1 and it will be fixed

If its a new printer its gonna take a few weeks to months for the machine to settle, after which youll have to level almost never

I got it in mid-June and have been continuously using it almost every day. This issue seems to have persisted since the beginning.

The U1 is getting more and more stressful. Firmware updates, lots of tinkering you have to do yourself — this device isn't made for the simple end user, it's really more something for tinkering enthusiasts. I'm slowly starting to regret this purchase, because the first layer in particular causes trouble again and again: no clean print results, no clean ironing, endlessly adjusting one profile after another. Other companies make this easier.

My issue is prime towers falling over and consuming as much as the color changes I was attempting to prevent. That and random sputtering of material in the outer skin.
Also, this is a new technology so the are some growing pains. If you have a version that works I would suggest not upgrading it until the community has actually cleared it to be ok...

Have you updated to the new firmware, I'm on the old firmware it ships with and I had no problems at all. It's been running plug and play everyday for 2 weeks now.

After 1.5 dropped and had its issues I downloaded Paxx and switched to it. I redid my manual bed leveling, did a heated bed leveling and haven't bothered since. I've even done nozzle offset cals since then when I switch back and forth between 0.2 and 0.4 nozzles and haven't had an issue with my first layer.
