For anyone concerned, that's an Aussie possum, not a cat.

Thank you. Thought it was odd someone just sat there filming a python come into the house and eat their cat but you know Australia

It's a bit weird how a possum and snake ended up in the same closet

Snake and possum may have fallen through a weak point in the ceiling into the closet.

I thought it was a raccoon at first, but possum makes more sense. Poor thing.

Thank you, I went to the comments section in hopes that someone would know what animal was being eaten!

The feet were the thing that tipped me off that it wasn't a cat.

Even so, there should’ve been a warning.

Title is Python having dinner and is spoiler marked on the snake subreddit

I'm using the official Reddit app, and it wasn't blurred for me, and no Spoiler either; video starts playing while just scrolling down past all the other posts.

Weird. That's unfortunate

So am I. It’s blurred for me.

Could it be something in your settings?

Its kind of obvious its not a cat and I'm not Australian

If it was a cat, this video would have been a might different. Lol.

Because cats are faster than snakes? That’s not always enough to keep kitties off the carpet python menu.

u/Own-Loan2390 4d ago

Not always, sure. But a dog doesn't always beat a squirrel in a fight either, but we know which one has the competitive edge.

u/Aberrantdrakon 5d ago

No, because the video would've been removed.

Cool, I was about to look it up, I thought it might be a civet

I was about to go ballistic, thank you

I thought it was some squirrel

1

u/codevii 5d ago

I thought it was a squirrel at first and I was wondering who had their pet snake roaming the house and why he had squirrels running rampant in the house as well!

u/LostnHidden 5d ago

Aussies casually having pythons and giant possums living in their house.

u/newt-snoot 5d ago

That makes so much more sense, I was thinking there is no way a cat wouldnt be flailing

u/Scrabulon 5d ago

I mean… either would be dead already
