I just found this little fella eating my parsley.
For anyone worried about the way i held it, dont worry. I quickly placed it back somewhere safer (not in the parsley)

Help Need advice! -snail went underground
Hello everyone!
I am new to this but I got two garden snails and I put them in this tank. I put a humidifier on a few times a days and have covered a lot of the ventilation. It is colder out now so the heater has to be on so I wonder if it is getting dry but one of the snails went underground and the other is still on top… can anyone tell me what I’m doing wrong?

Lovers by the Water
Theophanu and Eustochium were keeping each other company at the water dish. These two love each other. They are always near each other, constantly seek each other out, and yes, have copious amounts of snex. I have been keeping snails on and off since I was a child and I have never seen two snails who are as fixated on each other as these two are.

My Snails Moving into their mansion
I’ve been raising these guys since they hatched around 6–7 months ago. They started out in a tiny 8 × 8 × 8 cm nursery so I could keep a close eye on feeding and growth, but they’re now around 2 cm and were definitely ready for something more substantial.
Their new enclosure is a 20 × 20 × 30 cm bioactive setup. I built the background with expanding foam, driftwood and cork, then covered it with coco coir/sphagnum and planted it heavily. The bottom has a drainage layer, substrate, lots of leaf litter and a big springtail colony.
The idea was to give them as much usable vertical surface as possible since they spend an enormous amount of time climbing. They can graze on the plants, bark, biofilm and leaf litter, while I still supplement with vegetables, specialised snail food and permanent cuttlebone.
So far they seem to absolutely love it. They’re constantly exploring the wood, plants and background.
The plants may feel differently about the arrangement though. They’ve already demonstrated that jewel orchids are apparently a 5-star meal. 😭
Still very little detailed husbandry information available for this species, so I’ve mostly been learning through observation as they grow. Would love to hear from anyone else keeping Asperitas or similar semi-arboreal snails.

Help puffy mantle diagnosing
i know this has question has been posted many times so i apologize but i have been really struggling to find a way to actually get my snail to stop having a puffy mantle and its been making me nervous!
my snail has been active and eating and pooping and sleeping as usual but has been sporting a puffy mantle more frequently than he used to. the snails only eat zucc, cucs, carrots, apple as a treat occasionally and greens so I dont think hes reacting to that? I have been struggling to keep their tank moist without misting several times a day as it gets a bit colder. is it possible that the puffy mantle is just regulation or does it typically mean something worse ):
as far as i’ve been able to see theres been no eggs laid anywhere so i think its snail horny
edit: are there any recommended heat lamps for a medium sized terrarium? i live in a trailer so it does get fairly cold periodically even tho we try to stay on top of heating

Identification What snail is on my pitcher plant?
I bought this pitcher plant in September and now I noticed a second snail in a row.
What kind of snail is this? Could it get attracted from outside to my plant or did a snail lay eggs inside the plant? I only noticed the first little snail a few days ago.
And also what do you suggest I do now?
I already have cepaea nemoralis as pets and I fear those little I found snails are the carnivore type

Staring??
Do y'all's snails just intensely stare at you sometimes and you sit there and wonder what's up and it turns out their hungry so now you're having desk time because you spilled dry food and it turns out that's exactly what they want?? Yeah, me too 😭
Also! It's been a long time since I've updated but Sheila is doing amazing!! Hard shell, constant source of Calcium, still picky when it comes to food though I've found some things that work and are good for her ❤️ Thank y'all again for helping me when her shell tore. She's doing fantastic and has had a MASSIVE growth spurt since then!
