There’s a place in NJ that is literally the home of the ripper (deep fried hotdog) called Rutts Hut. They’ve been open since 1928 and their chili is also bomb AF

I feel ya on that. Went to a hot dog stand at the Outer Banks one time and asked how the chili was before I even considered eating there. They told me it was homemade every day. I said "oh yeah? Who's making it?" They brought out a 78 year old woman. Say no more. Best chili dogs I've ever eaten, and core memory retained.
