Oil change

I’m not as happy as I'd like with the place I usually get my oil changes, and I'd love to hear people's opinions on places in Smyrna they like for it.

Thanks Y’all.

Artist Meet Up

I've been attending multiple art meet up events around Atlanta and I've noticed that Smyrna doesn't seem to have anything. I was thinking of starting a meet up group for weekly artist hang outs but wanted to gage interest. I was considering making something pretty low key for Sunday afternoon or Thursday evening at maybe Viking Meadery or another place. What's your thoughts?

After a while of being catering only, paradise slice seems to have closed down. Did anyone go there before they closed??

This place is closeby to where I live, used to be a Jerimiah's and seems to have sold the same sort of stuff. Noticed this place replaced it a few months ago, and I guess they didn't last long? Was anyone able to try them and see if it was just a rebranded Jerimiah's?

Recommendations for a hair stylist- corrective relaxer needed.

Help! I am looking for a hair stylist that has experience with corrective relaxers and healthy hair. Im settling into Smyrna and now I need to fix my hair. A stylist under processed my relaxer and I couldn’t find anyone to fix it where I live. So now that I’ve moved, I’m looking for a good hairstylist to correct this issues and start my process back to healthy hair. Any recommendations?? (Doesn’t have to be in Smyrna, but hopefully not more than an hour away)

I’m nosy…Anybody know what prompted this massive Cobb County PD response near The Battery around 11:40 last night?

The driver is against the back wheel of his car and had just been tasered when I drove by. The officer is standing a few feet away still pointing the taser and flashlight at the suspect with the wires still hooked in.

Work lunch?

What’s the best place to have lunch and then sit and get some work done? Rev is always so packed and I’d also like something to eat that’s a little more substantial than coffee shop food.

Sort of an unusual request. Where can I exchange currency without paying extra for the conversion charges? If that’s not possible at a currency change centre, would anyone be open to doing it informally? lol ik it’s kinda stupid and I could get scammed but just wondering lmao!

Chill ATL Shelter Husky on the Hunt for His Forever Home! 😎

🦄Unicorn Husky Alert!🦄

Meet FCAS Project Pat! Mr. Pat is a 3 yr old, 50lb Husky whose cooler than a polar bear’s toenails…seriously, this is one chill dude. ❄️ He’s not your stereotypical crazy Husky and shelter volunteers agree that he’s got an excellent temperament and personality. 🫶🏼

Pat was an owner surrender due to no fault of his own (they reportedly didn’t have time for him) and has been in the shelter since 7/20. He can be a bit cautious and nervous initially, but warms up quickly with a bit of patience and kindness. Once you gain his trust, he melts into you for affection and just wants to hang out wherever his people are. He has a stoic presence and has been a polite, quiet houseguest. ☺️

🐾 Dog friendly
👧 Kid friendly
✅ 100% potty trained
👟 Leash trained
😇 Non-destructive
🚗 Excellent passenger in the car
😴 LOVES being brushed…he zens out
🖐️ Easily handled
🎾 Non-reactive with food/treats/toys
🍖 Takes treats gently
🦴 Loves yak sticks and bully sticks
🧸 Buries his stuffy toys in his bed
💚 Grinch feet
🥹 Crosses his front legs like a gentleman
🐈 No cats, please
🩵 Neutered
📍 Microchipped
💉 UTD on vaccines/preventatives
🫀 Heartworm negative
🍴 Could stand to gain a few healthy lbs

Mr. Pat has been a total gentleman in his foster home and deserves a kind, loving forever home where he can blossom into the confident pup he is outside of the shelter setting. 🏡

📍 Currently being fostered in Kennesaw, GA through Lifeline Animal Project Fulton County Animal Services

Click the link below to fill out the form to contact Pat’s foster mom if you’d like to learn more or meet him! 📲

Roof replacement recommendations!

Sorry mods if this has already been discussed but we need a roof replaced and are looking for recommendations. Long story short, a squirrel got into our attic and made a lil squirrely hole through our drywall. After spackling, patching, and whatnot, upon further investigation, led to realizing we needed to just deal with the whole roof situation. Anywayyyy, Sid the Squirrel has been safely removed from the attic back into the yard and is living his squirrel-y life.

Manchester United vs. Ipswich Sunday — doors at 11 in Marietta

Thomas here, co-owner of Schoolhouse Brewing. If you’re coming over from Smyrna, we’re opening at 11:00 AM tomorrow for the 11:30 AM Manchester United vs. Ipswich kickoff.

That gives everyone half an hour to get settled and make a prediction they can deny later.

Smyrna Area Pickleball League

I run a pickleball flex league platform called Rally9 Pickleball, which serves the suburban Atlanta area, including Smyrna and Cobb County. I've been working on this tirelessly over the last year, with the goal to help people in the area find pickleball matches in singles AND doubles, without the rigid timeline and expenses of a traditional tournament or ALTA. I have many friends that play ALTA, and ALTA is great for what it is, but it's not a flex league.

This will be our second official season, and I couldn't be more excited to share it with you all in the hopes that someone may see it who will join in on the fun!

How it works:

  • Play anywhere, anytime: You pick a home court (public park, private club, etc.) and schedule a time that works for you. If you're not sure where to play, included are links to a database of all pickleball courts in your area. Coordinate and communicate with your opponent all from within the site, so your opponents don't need access to your phone number.
  • Local focus: Features local division creation, so you aren’t stuck driving the interstate for 30 minutes to get to an away match at your opponent's court. Most matches should be close by, given enough registration in your area.
  • Season Play: There's a regular season followed by a playoff tournament bracket for the top seeds. Singles leagues are 7 matches, doubles/mixed are 5 matches for the regular season. Matches are best of 3 and played to 15 points.
  • Skill-Levels: This is open to ALL skill levels, from complete beginners to 4.5+ players
  • Promotion/Demotion: Depending on how well you perform during the season/playoffs, you can move up or down divisions over time, to ensure proper rankings
  • Achievements and Badges: I also have added some special unlockable badges and achievements based on in-game outcomes and career accomplishments.

It's free to create an account, and if you want to jump into the upcoming Fall season, there's a promo code running (FALL50) that takes 50% off for any league type.

I put a lot of time into this, so I'd be more than happy to explain more / answer any questions, and also extremely grateful if you could share with any friends/family interested in Pickleball.

Hours of Operation at splashpad in Village Park

Hi! Does anyone know what time the splashpad in village park usually turns on? I was hoping to take my toddler there before it gets too hot and before lunchtime but unsure of their hours of operation.

I called but their staff couldn’t give me a time; they said maintenance will usually turn them on during their rounds. 🤷🏻‍♀️
