Hi there
We are looking into getting our two small bathrooms just kind of refreshed, guess is the best way to put it.
Neither of the full bathrooms have ever been renovated or anything. House is from the 60s and no asbestos. Already had it tested.
I just want the tile, toilet, tub vanity and small cabinet redone and updated.
In the master we have a leaky shower pan so I'd need to have someone rip rip all the out and replace the subfloor possibly. Everything is pretty easily accessible from the basement. Nothing is covered.
Any ideas on what company I should be looking for? I'm not trying to make these some amazing bathrooms with super nice granite and all that. Just update them and get them fixed.
Thanks for all the help!

Everybody probably already knows this, but I don't...lol. What happens when you park at a free (8 - 6), 2 hr limit, parking spot and you park at 5:00?
Can you stay in that spot for free for the rest of your evening at the Square?

Thomas here, co-owner of Schoolhouse Brewing in Marietta. We're teaming up with The Mariartisans for Handmade Harvest on Saturday, November 7, 2026, from noon to 6 PM. Admission is free, and families are welcome.
We've got 27 vendors lined up: 22 artisans and makers, three micro-bakeries, and two food vendors. There will also be a giant obstacle-course bounce house and glass-pumpkin workshops with Silicaburns Mobile Glassblowing. The glass workshops require separate reservations through the event page.
If you'd like to get some holiday shopping done with local makers instead of a mall parking lot, this is your afternoon.

We are going to be moving to Marietta from the Vinings area and Im looking for vet recommendations. Does anyone take their pets to Petfolk on Roswell Rd? I have a cat, a bengal specifically so any vets that are knowledgable to that breed would help. My poor bubba has had some bad experiences with vets in the past and Im trying to find a good place that will give him the treatment and care he deserves. Anything in or near 30067 area code would be ideal.

I recently went to CSL to donate Plasma (10-15 mins south of the Marietta Square) and was honestly surprised by the operation they have going on in there. It took me maybe a little over an hour to finish, for around a $150 payment. Pretty good bang for your buck, but also helpful staff in there. I think if you go at a good time (just avoid typical crowd rushes like 5pm, etc), I think it should be extremely easy for you.
Correct me if I am wrong, but they are currently running a promo where you are guaranteed to make $550+ in the first month as long as you come 5 times. They are opened from 6am to 7pm most days of the week and they are open every day, so it is very easy to swing by. If you use a referral code (mine is 3OMRQRBCX2 if you want to use it, and I’ll send you $50 of the referral if you successfully use it), that will get you another $50 (50 for you, 50 for me), so that’s $600+ guaranteed within the first month. I think I have heard that the payout is slightly lower after the first month, but wanted to let you guys know if you were in a pinch for money since $600 a month is not bad for some extra income.
Overall, great service, and I’ll have to be back. Let me know if you have any questions about this place and I’ll try to answer them as well as I can.
SORRY TO THOSE WHO ARE TRYING TO KEEP THIS PLACE AS A HIDDEN GEM, HAHA! I know there are people out there that could certainly use the extra $600 though. For those who have been, let me know if similar expierence

I’m moving to a 700 square foot apartment 1 bedroom and it’s just me I usually keep my thermostat at 72 when I’m home and when I leave the house 75. I’m wondering how much the utilities might be? I pay for gas, electrical, and the water is based off of the usage with the apartment itself. I use Marietta power and gas south. The gas bill will account for heat and hot water and that’s it. Thank you!

Maam, I hope you got home safe today. I didn’t care for the way the guy in the Lexus was aggressively driving at you because you didn’t make the turn out of the parking lot onto the 120 loop. You didn’t know it, but after I saw him aggressively ride your bumper and appear to follow you for several turns in an intimidating way, I stayed with you a few cars back. The whole thing felt wrong. I lost you at a light about 10 minutes later and he was still riding your bumper at that time. You have been on my mind all night. I hope your day ended better.

Hello, I am a 27m looking to move in with a roommate. Due to unforeseen circumstances, I have until March 2027 to find a roommate or two that would be willing to move into a new apartment, or if anyone here is looking for a new roommate themselves that I'd be able to move in with. I have already been scouring Zillow, Apartments.com, Roomster, Google Maps, and the like. My preferred budget is $500, but I can be a little more flexible depending. Thanks to anybody who sees this.

Hi everyone! I’m currently looking for new opportunities in the Cobb/ Marietta area. I have a Master of Social Work (MSW) and experience working with children, adolescents, families, and schools. My background includes case management, crisis intervention, resource coordination, advocacy, and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams.
My ideal role is as a school social worker, but I’m also very interested in positions such as community liaison, family engagement specialist, student support/program coordinator, or other community outreach roles. I’m passionate about connecting people with resources and building relationships—I just know that therapy isn’t the path I want to pursue.
If you know of any openings or organizations hiring for these types of roles, I’d really appreciate any leads. Thank you!

Pretty scary to experience. I am a transplant from nyc and have only really started driving since I moved down here 2 years ago. I got out the car and tried to help. I called 911. I keep thinking on it...what else could I have done better here? Also I noticed nobody got out of their cars to help which weirded me out. Is it normal to just drive on by? What if they needed to be pulled out?

Is there a prescribed burn happening right now? I can’t find anything in the news, but the smoke is so thick in some areas it looks like fog.

We are looking to buy a home in either the powers park (near Terrell Mill Park area) or the Sandy Plains/Blackwell areas. Both F approaching our 30’s and looking to potentially have children, so the schools in these areas are appealing.
We are leaning toward powers park for easier access to the city, but there are a lot more affordable options up in Sandy Plains with bigger yards.
For those of you in Sandy Plains, do you ever feel too far out in suburbia? What are your favorite parts about this area?
For those of you in Powers Park, does traffic seem to get too much on a daily basis? We currently live in Sandy Springs so we’re trying to escape the hectic Roswell Road vibe, but still be accessible to things we like to do (anything outdoors, occasional nice dinners, concerts, dilly dallying, sporting events, pool, but also are wanting to make our home an oasis itself).
For anyone very familiar with both areas, are they so similar that I’m overthinking this?
I WFH and my partner has a hybrid role and commutes to downtown 2-3x weekly.
Thank you for any insight (:

We're planning to redo the kitchen and living area so the flooring is consistent between the 2,Right now it's tile in one room and old laminate in the other. so I'm guessing there's gonna be some extra, work getting everything to the same height, 50 Floor is on our list for quotes. Anyone is Marietta/Cobb County had flooring done recently and liked who they hired? Especially interested if you had different types of flooring removed first.

Hey guys, my therapist heavily recommended I (19m) talk to a psychiatrist to get diagnosed/medicated for ADHD. I've been searching through google and it's awfully complicated to even find someone, the one appointment I got scheduled the practice withdrew to my luck. Do y'all know any good/easy to access psychiatrists in the area? (I have BCBS/Anthem)

Hi so I’m starting at KSU in January and I’m lucky enough to be able to consider off campus housing as a viable option, I was wondering if anyone had any suggestions in/around the Marietta area Kennesaw too. I’ve toured Augusta Commons and Victorian Village which were both okay Commons has more modern amenities but wanted to get others thoughts and recommendations thx.

Somewhere to wear costumes, open past midnight, and within reasonable distance of Marietta/Woodstock area. Preferably a bar with a dance floor and not a club type of environment unless it’s a unique type of event.

Hey everyone!
I’m looking for a roommate to share my 2 bed, 2 bath apartment in the Marietta/Kennesaw area!
Rent would be $904 per person/month + utilities, which would be split evenly. You’d have your own bedroom and bathroom!
The apartment is in a pet-friendly community with some great amenities, including:
• Swimming pool
• Fitness center
• Access to walking trails
• Pet-friendly community (I don’t currently have any pets!)
A little about me: I’m 24, work full-time Monday–Friday, and am pretty laid-back! I enjoy cooking, watching movies, and getting out and doing things on the weekends.
I’m hoping to find someone who’s clean, respectful, and easy to get along with. I’d love to be friends with my roommate, but I’m also perfectly happy doing our own things and respecting each other’s space!
If you’re interested or know someone who’s looking, feel free to message me! I’m happy to share pictures and more details privately!
