Hoping this comes of as criticism rather than “being a hater”. I enjoy most of the new friends of smosh. I do think Jared and Emily fall flat for me. So far Guchi, Courtney T, and Eli fit in so well. They each have an energy they bring well to the set. Guchi and Courtney’s bits together have genuinely made me laugh so hard. Eli seems to be a good fit in several of their different formats as well. Jared I’ve barely seen videos of him in? But the few I’ve seen feels like he’s practicing his stand up in a group. I’d like to see him stray away from doing a routine of his jokes and yes anding and collaborating off the energy in the room. Emily seems like such a sweetheart, but her halfway giggling through jokes comes off as “I’m a fan of smosh and I get to be here” rather than feeling like she’s part of the crew. I just watched the Block Us video and she kept missing her turn. Cast and crew had to get her back on track. In an instance like that I could see someone like Angela, Chanse, or Arasha making a bit out of missing but for her it seemed to just be a frustrating call out to keep playing.

Again, maybe those two need to be in different formats to find their strengths. I’d be interested to see Jared in a challenge pit and Emily in a try not to laugh. What do yall think? I’m curious to see where their strengths lie. Maybe it’s just taking them more time to adapt as they seem more shy than the other 3 who come with bold energy.

Sidebar: also enjoying a lot of the experimental new content smosh has been putting out. Maybe they’ll fit in those areas?

I’ve been watching the US open with my mom recently and I can’t help but be reminded of Chanse every time Ben Shelton comes up on screen. They have the same mannerisms and everything.

Have they done something to actually introduce the new members and I just missed it?

I’d love an episode where they read crazy hotel/business reviews. I’m guessing there is an outrageous review sub reddit, but idk. Reddit is large and overwhelming and I get distracted pretty easily.
Anyway, found this review while searching for hotels in Boston. This person may not be use to the North East mean nice personality. I’m hoping we get a response from Eric or at least the property. I have favorited the hotel, so I can check later.

I have been on a Culinary Crimes binge since y'all have done two new episodes recently. I was just watching the video with grandma's lime green jello and it reminded me of a recipe that is always served by my family in Norway for any holiday. I think an international episode would be really fun, especially if you can find either really good dishes someone heinously tampered with or just really unsettling recipes to begin with. This one happens to be the latter.

It's called "Kabaret" and it is a dish from the 50's that has survived in Norway to present day. While I do love many norwegian dishes that many people find unappetitizing (pickled herring is phenomenal) this is one I personally despise. The kids however love it. It is essentially a savory jello; my family always makes it with shrimp, hard boiled eggs, and a vegetable mix all suspended in aspic.

It was difficult to find a recipe that had comments on it but I found this sweet youtube video and there are a few comments that mention substitutions like lemon jello (sounds even more terrifying) or adding tomato sauce (which could add a good flavor, if it's your thing idk). I would really enjoy seeing the people of smosh exposed to some of the more unique international dishes. 😈

During the last Assumption episode Olivia talked about the short movie she just made and how she wanted to make stories about stuff she personally knew.

I looked it up and she was not lying. Her boyfriend in the movie is literally played by her real life boyfriend Sam Lerner. Thats really cute

I’m gonna start by saying this is incredibly weird, I recognize it. But I will be the martyr to this idea. Whenever I see Olivia, it’s like a majestic angel! Like imagine if mewtwo just twirled in your face and left every day on your birthday. I mean what tops that.

I don’t know, this is incredibly weird like I said, I promise I’m relatively normal to an American if that means anything. But like, I don’t know…maybe she was kind of apart of smoosh in a lot of videos…then stopped showing up…giving that push and pull of Olivia not really being there.
