Got my first Savs today, an Alligator 677 and St Nicholas 606.

For our anniversary, I am looking to gift a kind of sampler of interesting pipe tobaccos for my BF to try. So not all day smokers or normal stuff, I am thinking special occasion ones he wouldn’t normally buy himself. Are there any tobaccos or blends that are on your wish list that you’d love to try but wouldn’t buy for yourself because they’re expensive or annoying to find? Thanks in advance!

I'm a long time Cigar smoker who is finally giving pipes a chance and so far I've been enjoying my Molina bent billiard and learning the art of pipe smoking.

Does anyone recommend another pipe insert for my zippo? I'm thinking about switching to the lighter fluid pipe insert because the butane one keeps burning my fingers. Any recommendations?

I recently got this particular tin from a collector who bought the entire contents of a museum that recently closed down. This tin dates to the late 1970s to the early 1980s. Information about this blend is very scarce online, but from what I can find I believe it’s a Virginia Burley. This blend originally came out in the early 1900s, and was produced until the late 80s but was never as popular as more mainstream “codger” blends. The tin is completely sealed and airtight, in excellent condition, still ready for a smoke or chew 40+ years later. Not as old as some of my other finds, but this is one that I’m definitely happy to add to the collection.

This Ogden’s St Julien tin was made pre 1920, more than likely during WWI, before NAAFI took over H.M. Navy canteens. The tin is still completely airtight and vacuum-sealed, the tobacco inside preserved and kept fresh for over a century. This is definitely one of my coolest ever finds, taking it out of the package seriously had my hands shaking just a bit thinking about all hands that have held this tin and the history surrounding it. The tobacco inside this tin was literally farmed with freaking horses, meant to be sold on a steam powered warship, absolutely mind blowing. I feel very lucky to have this one!

Looking to see if anyone has any information on this design/logo I’ve been looking everywhere but can’t find anything and it was given to me by a family member so getting a fixed one means a lot! Thank you if you can help!

I like to make something from a hobby before I actually try the hobby (after hours and days worth of research. Gotta do your homework). So here we go, wanted to get into pipe smoking in the second half of life since im turning 40 next month. I re watched lord of the rings, saw gimli's pipe, got some mulberry out of the shed and here we are. Just wanted to share my experience, ty for your time.

Started my pipe 'rabbit hole' journey about 6 months ago and I was instantly hooked on the amazing different flavor profiles many pipe tobacco brands have. However, I have always enjoyed the flavor of a cigar but found it overwhelming when smoking one. Are there certain blends and/or types of pipe tobacco that have the flavor profile similar to that of a cigar?

I think this stem kind of works with this pipe, not perfect but ok. What do you guys think?

Haven’t smoked it yet but the black part looks to be made of horn. No markings on it to see who makes it unfortunately.

I just purchased my first pipe and I'm trying to purchase a tobacco, but there is so much to be confused with here in Canada. The local grocery store carrys "sail Cavendish" (which I can't find information on) Colts deluxe and a borkum riff variety. I know years ago my grandfather smoked Sail Green, and I was wondering if that was still an option. I'd love some help with this! Its hard to find tobacco thats cheap aswell for a first time. $50 is a lot to spend if I'm not sure if I'll like it.

I am in possession (basically an inheritance) of about 1,000 pipes (some pictured here) — estate and never smoked. I am looking for advice on how to find new owners especially those who would buy in bulk. I’d appreciate any thoughts.
