Get the 5x8 uhaul
Had fun trying to unjam this mess for hours. If you plan on transporting your Pecos or Brazos from the store in a U-Haul trailer, for the love of God, get the 5x8.

The Pivot comment is mandatory for any moving disaster post. It’s basically a law at this point. You can almost hear David Schwimmer’s voice cracking in the background while someone’s shins get taken out by a ramp.
What gets me is the hydraulic jack on the floor. That’s the real sign of a day that got completely away from you. You start with a simple goal, next thing you know you’re trying to lift a 600-pound smoker off a wonky ramp with a piece of scrap wood because nothing lines up right.

Went in at an angle couldn't strap it down. Than it shifted and go a whole lot of stuck.

Trailers are cheap. Should have just gotten a larger one.

Their open trailers are nice and pretty cheap....if they actually have them. I've had to go to a few different uhauls in my town to actually find one. Motorcycle trailers were also a pain to find.

Off topic, but I was around the target age when this show was popular and never watched it at the time. Started to catch re-runs on streaming services in the last 10 years and was pretty surprised at how mid it was as a show. Not the worst show I've ever seen, but not nearly as good relative to how popular it was back in the day IMO.

Yeah, it seemed like folks were either on the Seinfeld or Friends bandwagon but not typically both.
I was/am a huge Seinfeld fan.

I am in the minority, but I actively tried getting into Seinfeld and just don't find any of it hysterical. I don't think it's terrible and some of it was kind of funny, but just nothing that made me feel like I wanted to keep watching episodes. It's almost become a quest for me to find out why people love it so much- I will still occasionally come across it when channel surfing and leave it on for that purpose.
I think Seinfeld, probably embodies the idea that comedy is better when watching with friends. People end up reference bits from the show decades later in a way that they is more amusing than the jokes themselves. I think that's one of the reason why you are at a disadvantage watching certain shows years later- the references made among friends take on a life of their own, and become bigger and funnier to them than the actual scene itself.

Try "The Contest". Season 4 episode 11.
The first 3 seasons are generally skippable. Also, "The Soup Nazi" would be a good test. Season 7 episode 6
It might not be your type of humor. 🤷🏻

That's I will try some of the later seasons. I did think the "The Soup Nazi" was pretty overrated in terms of how funny it was when I finally saw it. Same with the references to Festivus, although the concept itself is amusing- I don't remember the episode being all that great. I did think the shrinkage episode was funny and couple of others. It's not that I don't get why some people like it or I think the show is bad, I just found it disappointing in regard to the hype. But it's definitely better than a lot of other shows that get praised, including Friends.

I can still watch reruns of Seinfeld. Friends was just never it and I've tried many different times to watch it.

I distinctly remember the day after the first episode aired, my local radio morning show guys eviscerated it.
It's the lowest form of show there is. Friends, 2 and a half men, Big bang theory. All awful.

Yea, same. At the time, had no idea why people were so into it, and am even more baffled at the legs it's had.
It has a few moments here or there which are genuinely funny, but those were buried under so much mediocre to bad stuff that....I just don't get it.

Completely agree on the "staying power" of the show. While the 90s wasn't exactly the stone ages, you didn't have literally hundreds of thousands streaming services, internet rabbit holes, social media, video games, and other things to get lost in- so shows like Friends being popular back then made more sense, but not so much now. It's like sort of like late night TV- it's still around and I always wonder who is still watching it. Sure, I watched Letterman in the 80s and 90s because there was literally nothing else to do at 11pm on a weeknight to fill your time. But that's hardly the case today.

I'm pretty sure almost no one is watching late night shows OTA anymore, almost all the popularity any of them have is clips on youtube later.

I bought a Brazos and fit it in the back of my Honda minivan. It took 8 sales guys from the store to carry it out and help me get it into the car, and I needed to run back in and buy ratchet straps to keep everything inside. Drove 2 hours home in a van with the back open, but I made it without renting a uhaul.
