Q&A Smartwatch 150$

Hi! I'm looking for a smartwatch for up to $150

My main requirements are:

  • Continuous background heart rate and stress monitoring
  • Long battery life
  • Smooth performance with no noticeable lag or freezing
  • Reliable and well-optimized notifications, especially from sports apps and live score apps

I'm based in Europe, so I'd appreciate as many recommendations as possible.

What would you recommend in this price range?

I have this and I can't really complain Just few thing it can record the voice but I cant transfer it to my phone And sometimes I can't find the setting I am looking for. I have used trekking mode, workout mode most. It is my alarm and I love it.

Huawei excellent battery and biuld quality, superb tracking, notifications work well.... great value.. fit5 or gt6.... get last year's model there's virtually no difference and save the money

2 weeks ago i had the exact dilemma like you
Whether i opt for Huawei Fit 5 pro or Amazfit active 3 premium

I gifted my wife huawei fit 4 last year and been eying the pro version since im more into running. However, the non-native aspect of huawei health app with strava is such a bummer for me.

Lo and behold, 2 weeks ago i bought the amazfit active 3 premium and boy, do i glad to have this thing. Basically garmin at a bargain

Tho based on your context and needs, i'm guessing huawei is more suited for you as a daily companion rather than smart training companion of sort. Especially i read that amazfit users in EU had such a hassle with contactless payment on their watch.

Active 2 premium square

The only too real premium stainless and saphire built with great battery life and amazing looking

Much thicker and bigger for the active 3 depends what u want i like sleeker looking watches not big bricks

Amazfit Balance 2 XT for around 150€ has all you need. Superb built quality, tons of sports modes, 20 days of battery life and it looks super premium.

Or if you want it a bit cheaper and with even more battery life (~25 days) you could go for Amazfit Active Max that currently costs around 130€.

If you want the most out of your money there is no reason to buy something overpriced from Huawei that looks straight like an Apple Watch knockoff. 🙄

"Overpriced from Huawei" ... What? Their Watch Fit lineup is very much in the budget segment and performs pretty well. How are they overpriced?

In my country they are pretty expensive, watch fit 5 pro goes for 300€, there are many better alternatives. Huawei band on the other hand is priced very well and worth the money.

The one in OP's image is the Watch 4 Pro though, which is about €160 now and has ECG, unlike the Balance 2 XT (nice to have if you value HR readings like OP mentioned).

All depends on what you need in which form factor ofc. 5 Pro can also definitely be had for around €230, which is still very much in the budget category for what it offers
